I really enjoyed this book and I do like the author quite a bit. However, I felt like the ending was rushed, and I wasn’t crazy about the epilogue. I would have liked it to be farther in the future and giving it four stars because the ending was rushed

Great conclusion for this duet

I thoroughly enjoyed this second book in the Cat and Mouse duet. Please read your trigger warnings. Sibby was a show stealer and her character made me laugh. Michelle Sparks captured her voice perfectly. If I have any complaints it would be the way things ended with the woman who had Adeline kidnapped. What she wanted was so outlandish that it wasn’t believable. Frankly it shouldn’t have been written that way.

Why did I wait so long to listen to this?!!

I’ve heard a lot about this book and was afraid after all the hype that I wouldn’t like it. Michelle Sparks and Teddy Hamilton knocked it out of the park, they brought the characters to life. My heart is pounding after finishing Haunting Adeline. Teddy is one of my favorite narrators, but I didn’t picture him for this role. I stand corrected. H.D. Carlton weaved a story I know I will think about long after I finish the series. I will definitely be purchasing the physical book and rereading. I know Hunting Adeline is darker and I’m actually nervous about starting that next. This is a must read if you like dark romance, please check trigger warnings.

Loved this dark take on Peter Pan

All hail Jacob Morgan

I love this series and it’s my second time listening to it. Jacob Morgan is hands down my favorite narrator and he brings Carter to life. The narrator for the FMC is also very good and even though this character is a bit on the whiny side, she illustrates the struggles the FMC is going through and figuring out who she is.

The female narrator was hard to listen to. Her voice was monotone without much inflection. Sometimes I felt like she was reading a run on sentence. Loved the male narrator’s voice. Sweet story.

The internal dialogue killed me

This was a really cute story. As others have indicated, I don’t understand what was ugly about the guy. The MMC’s is internal dialogue had me laughing out loud and the narrator nailed it. His female voice could use some serious work, but overall he is really funny.

Great series

Out of the three books, this was my favorite one. This one tugged every emotion. Jess was a great partner for Brett. In the story you could feel Brett‘s heartache for the loss of his wife and the healing and reawakening that he went through when he met Jess. I’m glad there weren’t any third act break ups, and that they were able to work through their miscommunications and misunderstandings.

The narration was perfection

This is a sweet love story about two broken people, finding love together in a very dark mafia world. However, I would not consider this a dark mafia romance. I loved that there wasn’t any breakup drama between the main characters. If I had one complaint is that the ending was wrapped up too quickly for me. I would have loved to hear more about the characters. Greg, Salinas‘s voice is hot, hot hot!!
