Historia
When Juan Cabrillo fails to capture the leader of Mexico’s most dangerous drug cartel and loses an Oregon crew member in the process, he’s determined to get revenge. Little does he know that the explosion he just narrowly escaped was merely the latest flash of violence from a machine of war that has existed for decades, dating from the bloodiest episode in Armenia’s history.

Through grit and courage Lin has carved a place for herself in the Vietnamese underworld where Hanoi’s crime boss, Bao Nguyen, is training her to fight and lead. Bao drives her hard; on the streets there are no second chances. Meanwhile the people of Hanoi are succumbing to Fat Victory - a dangerously addictive immersive simulation.

Discombobulated
Revisado: 04-28-25
I didn't follow this story well. The writing was very choppy. Bad language was unnecessary and too much of it. I couldn't listen past Chapter 18. Narration was good but story was boring.

Historical novel at its best
Revisado: 04-25-25
Quinn has done it again. Gripping, real, page turner, true historical research, great narration though the accents got a little heavy at times and hard to know what was said. But that is not a reason to pass up this wonderful. read.

way too political
Revisado: 03-16-25
I was looking forward to hearing how he worked through his recovery from his knee surgery and the influences in life that helped him. This book was shallow, braggadocious, very left leaning and too political. I'm very disappointed. The narration was very choppy and difficult to tolerate. I am glad it was only 6 hrs. I kept thinking it would get better in all aspects but never did.
