Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

What a absolute wonderful read. You will laugh, and yes, cry, but most of all you will ponder what it would be like to have such a place to lay down your troubles and unburden your soul. This book will stay with you long after you have finished it. I think this is the true mark of a good book. Looking forward to the next book from this wonderful author.

Historia
In a small, unnamed town in the American South, a church congregation arrives for a service and finds a figure asleep on a pew. The person is genderless and racially ambiguous and refuses to speak. One family takes in the strange visitor and nicknames them Pew. As the town spends the week preparing for a mysterious Forgiveness Festival, Pew is shuttled from one household to the next. The earnest and seemingly well-meaning townspeople see conflicting identities in Pew, and many confess their fears and secrets to them in one-sided conversations.

Historia
After his December 2003 arrest, registered nurse Charlie Cullen was quickly dubbed "The Angel of Death" by the media. But Cullen was no mercy killer, nor was he a simple monster. He was a favorite son, husband, beloved father, best friend, and celebrated caregiver. Implicated in the deaths of as many as 300 patients, he was also perhaps the most prolific serial killer in American history.

Great story, horrible narration
Revisado: 04-19-19
Any medical professional listening will ick up on the numerous mistakes. The glaring one is the medication, Digoxin, dig for short but not pronounced “dig” but pronounced as didge. The reference to rather name of the Italian restaurant was also wrong. Is there nobody that reviews for clarity and correctness?? Ruined the whole audiobook for me, sad because it was a good story.

Perfection!
Revisado: 12-12-18
As Elizabeth Bergs biggest fan, I proclaim this to be one of her best. A wonderful continuance to the story I hope is not ending. Iris has yet to meet her soulmate, Abby and Lincoln a whole wonderful life, not to mention Tiny and the new wife. Maddy and Nola!! Surely Lucille will visit with Arthur for a heavenly Monday morning quarterbacking session of the happenings here on earth. Oh, how I need more.

I literally cried when it ended. I laughed, cried and shot hot coffee out of my mouth at one point. I wanted to be part of this family. Rick, please keep writing about your family. Thank you seems small. This book will be with me forever. Listened on Audible and immediately ordered the hard back.

Historia
In 1950s Quebec, French and English tolerate each other with precarious civility - much like Maggie Hughes' parents. Maggie's English-speaking father has ambitions for his daughter that don't include marriage to the poor French boy on the next farm over. But Maggie's heart is captured by Gabriel Phénix. When she becomes pregnant at 15, her parents force her to give baby Elodie up for adoption and get her life "back on track".
