Good story horrible narration

It sounded as if it were read by a robot. The only thing worse than the female parts were the males. Not natural conversational voices. I couldn’t finish it was so off-putting.

Too vapid to hold my interest

Wanted something light to listen to while I put in my garden. It was sadly so disjointed and vapid I couldn’t get past 3 hrs. Uninteresting, self-absorbed characters that didn’t seem to have an ounce of chemistry outside their dreams.

The narrative was so strident. Very unpleasant.

The direction made this wonderful story sound more like a Harlequin romance. Each paragraph ended on such a declarative note that it always seemed like some other tension was being introduced to the plot. The narrator had a lovely voice, however, this didn’t seem the right tone to take with this book that is otherwise well written.

Great story, terrific performance

Totally enjoyable and affirming for women especially in the current political climate. Strong women who took their destiny into their own hands when life threw them for a loop.

So sorry it had to finally end

I have spent the last few years waiting for the next installment and can track passages of my life based on which book I was reading. I will always associate this final book with the Christmas season that our 7 year house remodeling was finally completed.I loved Harry, Emma, Giles and family.
I know that things had to wrap up, however, I wished there had been more time spent developing Samantha and Set's next chapter.

Bittersweet ending

While not as gripping as Mr. Mercedes, much better than King's most recent book, Desperation. Will Patton is a talent that is so compatible with all of King's stories.

Really disappointed after following this saga for so long. I hope I can find a summary on line to explain some of the details of what I've been listening to because I just couldn't abide having to wade back through to try to get it again.

A return to dark forces after The Mercedes sagas

I like all of the King's books, although I love some. I wasn't in love with Desperation.
Let's face it, he's a better writer than reader. What happened to Patton?
A lot of familiar King themes including a child shall lead them, but a recovering alcoholic will save them. Cack
