Historia
The only way Cilla van der Zee can survive the German occupation of the Netherlands is to do the unthinkable—become a spy for the Nazis in Britain. She soothes her conscience with a plan to abandon her mission and instead aid the Allies. Her scheme is thwarted when naval officer Lt. Lachlan Mackenzie finds her along the Scottish shore and turns her in to be executed. But perhaps she is more useful alive than dead.

Another outstanding book!!!

I appreciate how Sarah writes about different perspectives of WWII. But more importantly I appreciate how there is always a Biblical message throughout the lives of her characters. Well worth listening!!!

The world outside has grown toxic, the view of it limited, talk of it forbidden. The remnants of humanity live underground in a single silo. But there are always those who hope, who dream. These are the dangerous people, the residents who infect others with their optimism. Their punishment is simple. They are given the very thing they want: They are allowed to go outside.

Good story. Like the characters, plot twists and adventures. Sadly really disappointed with the amount of language in the books and tv show.

Always a good story with Sarah Sundin
Revisado: 10-12-24
Love the story! Always appreciate how Sarah’s characters grow in the Lord separately but in the end the characters grow closer together with the Lord at the center. Narrator did her best but not the most engaging narrative.

Thought and faith provoking.
Revisado: 02-06-24
I really enjoyed getting to know these women in history through the authors book. But I do feel like she missed some women of the Faith and I didn’t understand why she put some of the women in her book and, at times focused more on the women’s motive than where their faith came from.
Go into this book with an understanding of true salvation and it will motivate you to become biblical woman of the faith in our current culture.

Grew up Christian and homeschooled
Revisado: 06-28-23
Thank you for doing this podcast! It is well done and informative about the need of a personal walk with Jesus and how it is so important. Legalism is destructive to the soul but Jesus can heal your hurting soul. Thank you for explaining “Deconstruction” VS. “Disentanglement”.
