This is epically long-AND I LOVE IT

These books are pulling me out of the winter in Boston and into winter with Erin in Celum. The narrator does a great job with voices, which is mandatory to keep up with all the characters. All in i love these books.

Well, that happened

I should point out that I did not read the books in the traditional one through 13 jumped, and jumped around a bit due to beginning at book 4. I saved torment for my personal 12 spot; many ripped into Torment and I wanted to build suspense before the conclusion to his multiverse. Well… what the hell Mr. Robinson? The read started off great, excellent job at character development. And then the book took a left down crazy road that ended in a plop. I liked where his imagination was taking him. But I think I needed even more character development to give this more that three stars. When the book finished. I thought. Well that just happened. I’m taking a pallet cleanser before wrapping up the series bc I’m on team. Why??? When I’m retired in a decade or so. I’m going to read. Not listen to books 1 through 13 and see if I can move beyond my unresolved feelings about Torment.

Perfect suspenseful listen for an hour of housecleaning. Great performance. Interesting plot line. I didn’t see the end coming. I’m sure most people did. But it caught me off guard.

Great story and characters with lots of nerdy science

I’ve read a lot of sci-if, but I felt this book was unique. The main event felt close to our covid experience, the characters were relatable. There was a lot of science, all of which I assume was vetted and makes sense to the real needs and PhDs here. Regardless it allowed for great story telling.
