Historia
If society fell apart, could your family survive? Jim Powell thought he was ready. He was a regular guy who travelled a lot for work and hated every second he was away from his young family. But when ISIS operatives unleashed a coordinated attack on America’s infrastructure, his entire world shattered. The electrical grid collapsed, communication networks were damaged, critical bridges and dams were destroyed, and major fuel refineries have gone up in massive fiery clouds.

Historia
At first, it looks like a disease. An epidemic that spreads through no known means, driving its victims mad with memories of a life they never lived. But the force that’s sweeping the world is no pathogen. It’s just the first shock wave, unleashed by a stunning discovery - and what’s in jeopardy is not our minds but the very fabric of time itself. In New York City, Detective Barry Sutton is closing in on the truth - and in a remote laboratory, neuroscientist Helena Smith is unaware that she alone holds the key to this mystery...and the tools for fighting back.

Too Long
Revisado: 07-16-21
This dragged on far too long. I felt I had lived many lifetimes before it ended and there was far too much crying.

The small, friendly town of Gladstone, Tennessee seems the ideal place to raise a family - until two teenagers are found tortured to death. Entertaining but a bit predictable.
Revisado: 11-23-20
It was a bit predictable as I figured out who the killer was fairly easily. Some of the situations were also a bit frustrating regarding what was happening in the story. The characters did some stupid things that did not fit their personas as developed by the author. Overall I enjoyed the book, but it could have been a lot better.

Historia
The first crusade of 1096 unleashed a wave of impassioned, personally felt, deeply pious Christian fury that was expressed in a mass movement centered in France and spreading to other European kingdoms, including Flanders, German speaking principalities, and Italy. Master historian Harold Lamb tells the incredible story of how Pope Urban II fanned the sparks of Christian anger into a mighty conflagration of righteous indignation with his speech of 1095 in Clermont. The resulting armed clashes produced some of the most amazing stories you will ever hear.

An Epic Journey
Revisado: 04-18-20
This was entertaining and interesting to listen to. I felt that I was transported to a different world. Lamb is one of those authors who can bring the past to life with his vivid descriptions of people, places, and events. The narrator had a rich, resonant voice and was a pleasure to listen to. Highly recommended.
