Love The Book
Revisado: 09-23-23
It’s a great series. Love the story and characters. I’ve always been big supporter of the military from soldiers to the special forces. The Seals being unique breed. Every time I see a man in uniform I want to go up and give him a big hug, I feel so grateful for his or her service. When I hear so many of our youth say they are not proud of this country it makes me sad and wish they would appreciate the sacrifices of thousands courageous men/women who have fought and died for our freedoms we are now so very close to losing. We all must stand together and fight the very evil that our fathers, grandfathers, brothers and sisters fought and died. Thank you Jack Carr for your service and for giving this reader a small look into life of an elite warrior. Ray Porter does a wonderful job at reading and makes the characters come to life. I wish the series was half as good as the books. Once one listens to unabridged books changing the characters on screen just diminishes it. Casting of series is not good. My advice is don’t venture too far from the book. Looking forward to listening to next one.

Historia
Jared Kushner was one of the most consequential presidential advisers in modern history. For the first time, he recounts what happened behind closed doors during the Trump presidency. Few White House advisors have had such an expansive portfolio or constant access to the president. From his office next to Trump, senior adviser Jared Kushner operated quietly behind the scenes, preferring to leave the turf wars and television sparring to others.

It Surprised Me
Revisado: 12-14-22
I wasn't sure what to expect from this book but I enjoyed it very much as it gave some insight inside the Trump Whitehouse. Certainly not a tell-all book but, I felt, a fairly honest accounting of a young man focused on supporting his president, who just happens to be his father-in-law, and being in service to his country—no other or hidden agenda. This undoubtedly is a very serious, smart, well qualified and focused young man. After I completed the book, I liked him and what I felt about him. It’s easy to see why the President trusted and wanted this Jared Kushner on his team to ensure his policies were implemented. He was not taking all the credit for their victories but gave credit where credit was due. It’s always hard to hear about the openly undermining of other characters in this production but though mentioned, no condemnation. He did go into some detail on his father’s legal troubles, imprisonment and its affect on his family.
Jared did excellent job reading the book. A very pleasant and easy to understand voice. It is very nice to see something positive about what this president did while in office. Unfortunately, due to an unfair and biased media and the far left harping lies and dissension dominating the air, most Americans really do not know the good policies of this president.

Love the Camel Club Series
Revisado: 07-18-22
Oh how many times I’ve listened to this entire series and am just sad Mr Baldacci has not written another book about Oliver and his group of enduring and lovable misfits. Annabelle certainly is a delightful and entertaining addition. My hope that in that fertile and complex mind of David Baldacci is yet another Camel Club adventure.

Another Win?
Revisado: 06-03-22
Always have simply loved Win and so glad to see book dedicated to him. However I do miss the Myron/Win interaction but hoping for another book with them both. Fascinated with the Win/ daughter connection. Seems like Win has definitely met his match and she is chip off the old block. Hope the future holds more of these characters! As usual, Mr Weber does exceptional job!

Revisado: 05-25-22
So happy to listen to another Myron Bolitar and Win book and sure hope Mr Coben continues writing about these two characters because they are so entertaining and love them both. Can’t wait to listen to the “Win” book. Steven Weber does an excellent job reading these books. He’s right for these characters and after I listen to the book I turn around and listen again. Very entertaining. Love listening to books as much as reading them. Only thing is when Hollywood makes movie from a good book they usually mess it up like the did with the Reacher movie. Hope we continue to hear from Myron and Win!

Historia
It's 1949. When war veteran Aloysius Archer is released from Carderock Prison, he is sent to Poca City on parole with a short list of dos and a much longer list of don'ts: do report regularly to his parole officer, don't go to bars, certainly don't drink alcohol, do get a job - and don't ever associate with loose women. The small town quickly proves more complicated and dangerous than Archer's years serving in the war or his time in jail.

I did not like venturing into this era or really anything about this book. Hope Mr Baldacci doesn’t spend lot of time writing about Mr. Archer or guess I will move on to another author. Sure wish he would continue on with the Oliver Stone novels though as that character is about as good as one gets. Shame he’s not done another one. Will Robie pretty awesome too. Will wait to see what comes next.

Unbelievable
Revisado: 04-15-21
Just finished the Penn Cage novels, listened to all three straight through. I don’t know what to say, I am stunned. I met Greg Iles few years ago and he is truly a southern gentleman. I have all of his books on audio and have decided to listen to them all according to date published. Penn Cage novels are my favorite and I hope that he does another book and explore the Penn/Lincoln relationship. My heart hurt for Dr Cage and Viola’s situation and heartbreak and shows how vulnerable we can be. I can identify with both the wife and Viola. Iles handled the situation beautifully I thought. Great story hope to see another one very soon.

Historia
New York Times best-selling author and legendary political insider Roger Stone lashes out with a blistering indictment that exposes the true history and monumental hypocrisy of the Bushes. In his usual "go for the jugular" style, Stone collaborates with Saint John Hunt - author, musician, and son of legendary CIA operative E. Howard Hunt - to make this a "no-holds-barred" history of the Bush family.

Another Good One Mr Stone
Revisado: 03-13-21
Very informative and at times literally made me sick to my stomach to see how they blatantly lie to the American people and abuse their power. These “elites” have been slowly usurping power from American people and getting richer in process. Ones that do their dirty work get taken out. Always thought Bush was laughing stock and Jeb was just plain weak. I pray to God another Bush doesn’t get in White House. We have lost this country people. Tell me how we are going to get it back. Wake up Americans and vote every one of these SOBs out of office. Just look at what we have become, God help us all! Thank you Mr Stone for this book and also the one about LBJ.

Ivan Resnova wants nothing more than to escape his hard, brutal past. Starting over is not so easy once you’ve been a powerful crime boss but now, instead of being punished for his alleged crimes, Ivan fears that the one woman he can’t forget is in danger of paying the price. Crimsyn “Syn” Delaney thought the danger she’d faced was over, and that she could resume her life. She never imagined it would return with a vengeance and throw her back into Ivan’s world. But when an attempt is made on her life, she needs Ivan more than ever to keep her safe.

Not much substance
Revisado: 01-28-21
Not much to hold my attention. Weak story line but strong male characters. Female character irritating and whiney and her constant doubting and anger towards Ivan I found to be tiresome. While Ms Leigh known for pretty explicit love scenes she’s done much better in her earlier books. Found these love scenes bit over the top. Would love to see more books like “Wild Card,” “Hidden Agenda,” “Maverick”. Those I will read over and over. Good characters and story.
