all battle, no story.

I guess it is hard to write about characters that everybody is already familiar with. Why waist the paper to describe them. The problem here was that there is little description of the locations... there is little color. It is all battle and only a little story line, It was not bad... just a little boring to me.

Started with "The Keeper Chronicles"

Got a good deal with "The Keeper Chronicles 1-3", and have never looked back. It has been a fun ride, and I hope It is not over.

Probably good book but bad time to read it.

I listen to books at work as I work with my hands. Coved for last 2 years... Russia invades, is on news every morn... and then I am listening to a book that sounds to real. His last 3 books I found educating as much as entertaining. This book, at this time affected my mood, and caused some anxiety issues. I will put it down for now... maybe I will listen later.

had to listen the last book to remember everything. glad I did... I forgot about the ending. maybe this Covid thing will give time to turn out the next story sooner.

My first review of a book..and now I must retract

My wife and I did not make it half way through the book before we had to stop listening. I wrote a nasty review... my first... and now I have to adjust it. The first part of this book is terrible, but I know you have to set the stage. We could not continue and we stopped, and I wrote a nasty review. A week later I decided to continue the book myself, out of stubbornness, and I found that it did improve later. I convinced my wife to continue the book around chapter 8, I think. I filled her in on what she had missed and then we both enjoyed the rest of the book. I don't know what set us off early in the book, unless the senseless killing just hits to close to the reality today, but if you can get through it, the last half is classic Kerney. We will listen to the next book, even though Guidall is not reading it.

so much anticipation to start this book, only to be in the same boat at the end. I am still hooked on the story, but man... I thought I would get a little air after this book. "to be continued" on the TV only last a week or so, but in a book... I wish these guys wrote the whole story in the beginning and just released each book every 6 months.

What disappointed you about The Late Show?

The reader could have been reading a school text book. I have listened to nearly all of the Connelly books, and this was the only time I was glad the book was finally over.
