The premise is a one liner is OK. But the dialogue and acting is cheesy. The book is anti climatic.

Not real cohesive but goggins is impressive enough on his own to make it worth a listen. I’m not in love with the outtakes and podcast format but the extra stories do add to the overall book. Worth a listen.

A good call to action full of studies that are sold by false innnuendo

The general premise of the book is good. However, many week data, or even mixed data points are sold to the listener as absolutes and considerably stronger than the evidence suggests. This occurs throughout the book. There’s an anti-medical establishment bent that is then routinely disclaimed for legal reasons but weakly. The riskier is that weak data is presented as strong data and listeners may make poor adjunct medical decisions due to this. Personally, I don’t like the narration style at all but that’s just a personal opinion.

The book is a combination of good sleep hygiene recommendations as well as data supporting the reason that sleep should be a priority. unfortunately I also mixes in weak data and states is as if it is strong data or consensus.

unfortunately this is not a useful audiobook. It is nothing more than a list of Spanish term followed by English term read in rapid succession. It is not a lesson. It is only a list. If you want to go back to find a word it is not possible to do easily due to audiobook format.

The guest speaker is an out of work conspiracy theorist that has and easily searchable history of easily disproven claims. Outside of the misinformation put forth by the guest, the interviewer simply platforms the disinformation with no preparation and zero critical questioning. this is a terrible episode and generally bad interviewing if one is really looking for "the truth" and not just platforming somebody that agrees with you.

I did not like this narrator. also many words by him were mispronounced and at a minimum that should not happen. if you have a book with the word norepinephrine, teach the narrator how to say the word.

likewise if you're going to write a book talking about norepinephrine or other chemicals that act as messengers in the body, do not start your book with so many biomedical mistakes.

this book needs a new narrator and a revision dumping the pseudoscience. perhaps the fix of this book works for many people, but it's built on a foundation of false understanding.
