The suspense of it all keeps you entranced!
Revisado: 01-23-23
This story line was so unexpected. The way it continued to go back and forth and the intense placement of the autobiography was perfect. I felt the anger, I felt the anguish, this book was truly amazing.

Historia
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

His story was a mystery until the end. loved that I had to wait to find out why he was the way he was. When he finally confronts his fears, I totally felt his pain, felt the reasoning fir his disdain and realized life is so much more once you can move past or even through the pain.

Not what I expected
Revisado: 10-10-22
Although I loved the first two books in the series, I struggled to finish this one. She speaks about how she gains her independence, but as Naive as she made herself to sound, just didn't sit well with me or the storyline. I get that these were her life experiences, but some insight into why she was so naive would have helped. The fact that she never questioned the Turk really bothered me. Like really, was she really that much of a "pendeja" that she didn't question things?

Historia
Beloved author Elizabeth Gilbert returns to fiction with a unique love story set in the New York City theater world during the 1940s. Told from the perspective of an older woman as she looks back on her youth with both pleasure and regret (but mostly pleasure), City of Girls explores themes of female sexuality and promiscuity, as well as the idiosyncrasies of true love. In 1940, nineteen-year-old Vivian Morris has just been kicked out of Vassar College, owing to her lackluster freshman-year performance.

Not what I expected
Revisado: 05-09-19
As detailed as the author was throughout the book, I was expecting a bit more detail in the final action scene. To go from "my skin was torn away from my body to I woke up in a cabin" without a more detailed explanation left me a bit perplexed.
