Historia
FitzChivalry - royal bastard and former king’s assassin - has left his life of intrigue behind. As far as the rest of the world knows, FitzChivalry Farseer is dead and buried. Masquerading as Tom Badgerlock, Fitz is now married to his childhood sweetheart, Molly, and leading the quiet life of a country squire. Though Fitz is haunted by the disappearance of the Fool, who did so much to shape Fitz into the man he has become, such private hurts are put aside in the business of daily life, at least until the appearance of menacing, pale-skinned strangers casts a sinister shadow over Fitz’s past...and his future.

Conrad has a lot on his plate, and recovering from a punctured kidney is only the start. Top of his to-do list is a trip to Cornwall for an interview with Morwenna Mowbray, vessel and victim of Fae magick. Before he can go, Tom Morton has news on the missing book, the Codex Defanatus. And soon it becomes clear that all roads lead across the Irish Sea, to a country where Conrad has no jurisdiction, no allies, and where his enemies are not one, but two Fae queens.

The change between narrators is unpleasant
Revisado: 10-24-22
The story as always is very engaging and the characters are well developed. The narration really needs to be rethought. while both are good, it is very unpleasant when characters voices are suddenly changed so much that they are unrecognizable. why is this necessary? it is in reality distracting.

A bit repetative
Revisado: 02-01-22
an entertaining series, well narrated. the prose is a bit repetative however as the same sentences are used to describe events and histories over and over again especially in the final four books. so while entertaining the story becomes tedious because of the repetition.

Historia
It is the summer of 2013, and Abigail Kamara has been left to her own devices. This might, by those who know her, be considered a mistake. While her cousin, police constable and apprentice wizard Peter Grant, is off in the sticks chasing unicorns, Abigail is chasing her own mystery. Teenagers around Hampstead Heath have been going missing, but before the police can get fully engaged, the teens return home - unharmed but vague about where they've been.

Confusing and not to the standard of previous book
Revisado: 07-11-21
first it is annoying when characters that have developed in previous books suddenly speak in a different voice. beyond that the story is confusing and not developed to standard of previous books. as if author is bored.

Historia
London’s Slough House is where the washed-up MI5 spies go to while away what’s left of their failed careers. The “"low horses", as they’re called, have all disgraced themselves in some way to get relegated here. But now the slow horses have a chance at redemption. An old Cold War-era spy is found dead on a bus outside Oxford, far from his usual haunts. The despicable, irascible Jackson Lamb is convinced Dickie Bow was murdered. As the agents dig into their fallen comrade’s circumstances, they uncover a shadowy tangle of ancient Cold War secrets.

An engaging tale
Revisado: 05-09-21
The story was great. The narrator while I am sure is good for a different type of story was difficult to follow and his constant changes in accent, none of which fit the characters was annoying. Don't change narrator mid series!

Good plot, but....
Revisado: 01-02-21
Interesting plot but there is too much nonsense statistics and dinging which interrupts the story and really adds nothing. if more time was spent on developing the plot the story would be equivalent to Dune.

Historia
This is the way the world ends...for the last time. It starts with the great red rift across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash that blots out the sun. It starts with death, with a murdered son and a missing daughter. It starts with betrayal, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester. This is the Stillness, a land long familiar with catastrophe, where the power of the Earth is wielded as a weapon. And where there is no mercy.

poor technical quality and production. read the book yourself or find a better recording. recording needs to be waited to remove repeats and sound effects that at times smother the narration.
