Historia
As a young man, Randall Woodfield had it all; he was a star athlete with good looks and an award-winning student. Working in the swinging West Coast bar scene, he had more than his share of women. But he wanted more than just sex. An appetite for unspeakable violent acts led him to cruise the I-5 highway through California to Washington, leaving a trail of victims along the way. As the list of the dead grew, the police mobilized to stop a twisted killer who had 44 known deaths to his name.

Boring narration
Revisado: 01-04-25
I thought that the narration was boring and didn’t do justice to the story. Although Ann Rule was a great crime writer for her time, her stories seem outdated pre DNA.

Good narrator. Always good plot with this author. I enjoy the details in his books of the scenes in the Pacific Northwest. Brings me back to my childhood spent there.

Interesting plot

The great narration definitely helped to enhance the already interesting plot. It kept me guessing as to whom was responsible for the crime. Good foreshadowing throughout.

I felt that the narrator was wrong for this story. Better suited for a romance. The story was very well written, but narration made it difficult to listen at times.

Historia
By the time playwright and actor Shawn Frost had won two Tony Awards by his late 20s, he was seen as a theater prodigy—a meteoric rise that the performing arts community had not witnessed in almost a hundred years. His work? Shakespearean in scope, character, and popularity—boundless and beautiful. His own character? Flawed. And in a place like New York City, where failings get magnified, Shawn Frost finds that, even from the heights of artistic sublimity, no one is insulated from the demons that have caused the best of entertainers to fall from grace.

The story itself was well written, but it rambled on when it should have ended. I thought it got boring after the original mystery was solved. Scott Brick always makes a great listen. My favorite narrator.

Hen and her husband, Lloyd, have settled into a quiet life in a new house outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Hen (short for Henrietta) is an illustrator and works out of a studio nearby and has found the right meds to control her bipolar disorder. Finally, she’s found some stability and peace. But when they meet the neighbors next door, that calm begins to erode as she spots a familiar object displayed on the husband’s office shelf. The sports trophy looks exactly like one that went missing from the home of a young man who was killed two years ago.

Disappointing narration
Revisado: 09-16-22
The female narrator delivered the story in a melancholy Voice which didn’t do justice to a murder mystery. I would have stopped listening if the story hadn’t been so intriguing. Hope to avoid this narrator in future
