Love Every Moment
Revisado: 10-06-23
I will say, Scream for Us, all time favorite. This one is second best hence the 4 star story rating. Still steamy at all the right moments! And I did appreciate the character depth of each masked men and Quinn. vo.Eros definitely knows what he’s doing and I 1000% am in awe of his talent to send chills down a girls spine with just words. Hope to hear more works from this pairing, they sound good together.

It’s okay…
Revisado: 10-06-23
The story is cute for what it is don’t get me wrong. I think I just had a problem with the narrators of April and Diego. There isn’t any range in their voices for other character reads like Sadie or Tyrell. And hearing something spoken in Spanish by Mr. Valente just wasn’t giving what I was expecting Diego or his family to sound like. I know not everyone has the capability to “hear” a character’s voice in their head when reading, but I have to wonder if this was really what Kelsie Stelting expected voice wise for April and Diego?

Historia
It is a perfect July morning, and Elle, a 50-year-old happily married mother of three, awakens at “The Paper Palace” - the family summer place she has visited every summer of her life. But this morning is different: Last night, Elle and her oldest friend, Jonas, crept out the back door into the darkness and had sex with each other for the first time, all while their spouses chatted away inside. Now, Elle will have to decide between the life she has made with her genuinely beloved husband and the life she always imagined she would have had with her childhood love.

Trigger Warnings Were Not Included ⚠️
Revisado: 05-11-22
Here's what I loved. Reviews that read the description the author uses transports you as if you were there I can agree with. I have a pretty good imagination so sometimes my head needs to fill in the blanks of a story. With this piece, it wasn't all that necessary.
Here's what threw me.
Number 1, the narrator voice is just not for me. I started the book so intended to finish it for our book club but sometimes the voice made it difficult to really focus on the story. Also, doesn't give me 50 yr old woman vibes as the synopsis had mentioned. Granted it goes from PAST to PRESENT but the PRESENT tense characters aren't given the justice they deserve.
Number 2, when I was looking for book suggestions to vote on for my book club, we had just finished reading something with a darker theme. We wanted this next book to be light and romancing. So when I originally read the synopsis of this book I thought it was a great romance story. Not to mention it was located under the ROMANCE category. The dealings of the big WHAT IF.... It wasn't until the book was actually chosen for our book club to read that while looking to see how many chapters were in the book to be planned out I noticed other reader reviews.
Warnings of incest, sexual assault/rape etc. Scenes that can be triggering for readers like me and full of cringe worthy moments. Do they make the story and give a new perspective to each character? Of course, but a little warning would have been nice. "tragic event" "crimes and misdemeanors of families" "legacies of abuse" for some reason... none of these words fit the description well enough about the bone chilling scenes and experiences you will read about.
If you do your homework before reading the book you've been warned.
And if you're the person who chooses to read a book first and then read reviews... well, next time you might be wiser.

Historia
Charley sees dead people. That's right, she sees dead people. And it's her job to convince them to "go into the light." But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e., murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she's been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely.
