Just the worst accent attempt ever.

I couldn't finish this one. I loved the Long Earth and suffered through the horrendous narrating because I'm a fan of Terry Pratchett. But this one just was just too much. I won't go too far into it since it's probably a personal preference, but it would have been so much better if Michael Stevens had not continued to attempt an American English accent. It truly sounded like someone was shooting for parody.

It's a long story, but the production on this audiobook was really nicely done, in my opinion. I've loved the book since I ready it many years ago and it translates well to an audiobook.

I really enjoyed the narration on this book. I'm a big fan of Brandon Sandersons work already, but Suzy Jackson just did a phenomenal job.

I really liked the story. I have to agree with some of the other reviews that the voices for the femail characters were somewhat lacking in emotional depth. But overall, it was a great story, well presented.

Just too simple

It may have some potential, but it was just too simple. I got through the first book, but after that I couldn't continue. This may be only the second Audiobook that I just had to give up on.

Great story, uninspired performance.

The story itself is interesting and got my attention enough to get me to continue through to the second book. BUT, the narration is just this side of horrible. It's not the voice or the characters, it's the truly terrible American accents that he portrays. Two or three of them sound like a character from South Park.

I really enjoyed the story, and the characters were diverse and not too predictable. but the narration was lacking. He has a good choice, but was unable to convey any excitement or strong emotion with it.

I'm trying really hard to like this series.

I suffered my way through "The Emperors Blades" thinking that it may just be needed to set the story line. As far as I can tell, Brian Staveley is an excellent writer, he is however, really bad at his character continuity. Without giving away the story line, it just seems like the main characters have spent years learning a specific set of skills, from the very best instructors in the world, only to make the wrong choice at every given opportunity. They consistently go against advice from people they admit are more knowledgeable in the specific area in which they are going to perform. It NEVER works out for them. It might be written that way to enhance the drama of the story, but it just doesn't make sense. The characters are either hopelessly inept, or just downright confused.

The characters themselves seem to be well developed and worth reading about, I just wish that the story wasn't so easy to predict at every turning point.

What did you like best about Lucid Dreaming Guided Meditation? What did you like least?

This was the first one of The Sleep Learning System audiobook that I purchased. I really like the soothing voice and subtle music. I don't know that it helped me enhance or remember my dreaming, but it does provide a nice sense of relaxation.

Was Lucid Dreaming Guided Meditation worth the listening time?

I play it in the evening when I go to bed, and have used it for the last three weeks or so, and I think that, yes, it was worth the few dollars it cost.
