overall it was good. I would buy it again. with it being two books and a prequel made it worth it. it has kept my interest and I am now buying the third audio.

I personally thought the second book was a little slower than the first.

I think this book and the prior book could have a been slimmed down just a little bit to make it fit into a single book. It would have been a five-star book at that point.

They almost lost a reader/fan because of the way they broke at the books. I only stayed because of how well the Ryiria books were. I will listen to the last book I have high hopes for it. I think it's what I've been waiting for in the series.

Disappointing

Definitely a filler between two books I think I would have preferred a 20-page of this book. I believe the author should combine this with the final book.
I still plan on listening to last book it's a great series overall but this one book was lacking. not much of an ending definitely not to be continued book.

Don't overlook this one

I put this one off too long. I must say it was excellent. The mechanics of how the powers work was fresh and new. The story didn't have distracting side stories which helped to keep it moving along and interesting the whole way through.
I will definitely be getting the rest of the series.

The movie doesn’t come close to the book.

This was a great Book.


Had the movie came close to the book, the cost of the movie would have been very expensive and could have been better than LOTR.

Awesome Book!!

I was hesitant on getting this book/audible due to the book cover art. It looked like zombies or vampires etc, which I’m not into. I don’t want to give anything away, but can say I loved this book!! Very entertaining. I had an extremely hard time putting it down. I highly recommend this one.

Great Series so far!

I’ve really like the two books so far. Like them so much, decided to buy the third before waiting on audible (as of 3/18).

I’ve rated 4.75 stars out of 5.
I remember seeing a review on how slow the audible performance was, there is an easy solution. On audible, simply change the speed to 1.25 or 1.5.
I really enjoyed it afterwards. I like the performance even more.

Overall Good

Not a deep story line, but I suspect it is building.
Love Nick Podehl, but not a lot of character banter due story line (not a lot of conversations) which really allows Nick to shine - he’s very good on having distinct voices per character.

Story was still really good. I almost had flashbacks when I had played d&d and Everquest.

I do plan on getting the next book in the series, so this does show that it was worth reading and/or listening to.
