Ridiculous book written for people who can't read and lack any awareness of current events. It's sentences are short and written for the angry incel who trolls the Breitbart site for not being conservative enough. It's pictures are edited. basically it's a series of QAnon manufactured stories meant to convince the listener to vote against their self interest and line the pockets of the kleptocratic puppet of Russia.

short, fun stories with a twist

While the story structure was basically the same each time; a short story with a twist at the end that shifted my perspective about the story. What I loved was that (1) when id go back to revisit the story - knowing the plot twist - it was always consistent and (2) it was an engaging story both times. Funny, sometime poignant.

Engaging Narrative - Finished in 2 Days!

The story of the Battle of Chosin is one of the greatest in US history, but often I find military history to be either overly detatched or more recently, overly dramatic. This book was the perfect balance author adds to story by weaving together different narratives. Outstanding book - I couldn't stop listening.

Narrator draws you into the story

the narrator really does a great job of drawing you into the story. He keeps separate and distinct voices for each of the characters and remains consistent in those voices. it makes the entire story much easier to listen to.

And, the story is great. it's everything you'd expect from James Elroy. Dark, cynical. The author lives in a cynical world and builds a compelling case to draw you into it. Great audiobook! one of my favorites
