Historia
When 17-year-old Sophia Petheram’s beloved father dies, she receives an unexpected letter. An invitation - on fine ivory paper, in bold black handwriting - from the mysterious Monsieur Bernard de Cressac, her godfather. With no money and fewer options, Sophie accepts, leaving her humble childhood home for the astonishingly lavish Wyndriven Abbey, in the heart of Mississippi. Sophie has always longed for a comfortable life, and she finds herself both attracted to and shocked by the charm and easy manners of her overgenerous guardian.

Charming retelling
Revisado: 03-09-15
What did you love best about Strands of Bronze and Gold?
This was a charming retelling that weaved suspense, romance, and family values into a great story for both adults and young adults.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Strands of Bronze and Gold?
I especially enjoyed the scary climax. When I hit the last couple hours I simply couldn't stop, so I stayed up late into the night listening to the intense finale. I even more appreciated that the heroine was not saved by the man in the end, but by her own pluck, luck, and blessings.

The sequel can't come soon enough. That was awesom

Great world building. Fun story. Note: Important illustrations found in the hard copy of the book are not available in the audiobook (obviously) which can make envisioning some ideas a challenge, but most pictures are available online. Just go to google images for "The Rithmatist" so you can see illustrations that way.
