Historia
At the age of 64, legendary athlete Diana Nyad inspired the world when she walked onto the shores of Key West after "crossing the Mt. Everest of the earth's oceans", becoming the first person in history to make the 111-mile swim from Cuba to Florida without the assistance of a shark cage. In her riveting new play The Swimmer, recorded live at the Minetta Lane Theatre, Nyad shares the heartbreaking setbacks, brushes with death and the victories that kept her going, plunging the audience into the depths of her extraordinary journey.

Inspirational story of Diana Nyad’s Cubs to Florida Swim
Revisado: 10-21-23
In her 60’s Diana Nyad challenged herself to achieve her goal to swim from Cuba to Florida. Read by Diana Nyad. A fun listen—my only criticism is that after I had finished the book I yearned to know more about her life.

Okay but ...
Revisado: 08-12-23
I applaud the work of the author in his excellent work in law enforcement and dedication to the public he served. However, his skill at writing about the events is very flat and does not draw the reader to feel much for the victims in the crime that the book was centered. Just the facts. The narrator was very stiff with a monotone devoid of emotion. I would not recommend the book.

Interesting but....
Revisado: 09-08-20
I enjoyed the first half of the book as it is interesting with situations unique to Yellowstone. Midway through the book repeatedly hearing 10-15 tales that were very similar of how folks died starting in 1880 to 2015 got monotonous. The reader was good and overall it was a decent story but the last few hours was just looking forward to the end.

Historia
Twenty-two years in the FBI, 16 of them as a member of the Bureau's Behavioral Science Unit. Roy Hazelwood, like many investigators, has seen it all. But unlike most, he's gone further into the dark and twisted psyches of serial killers and sadistic sexual offenders and has emerged as one of the world's foremost experts on the sexual criminal. Acclaimed true-crime writer Stephen G. Michaud takes you into the heart of Hazelwood's work through dozens of startling cases, including those of the Lonely Heart Killer, the "Ken and Barbie" killings, and the Atlanta Child Murders.

FBI Crimes cases investigated by Roy Hazelwood
Revisado: 08-12-20
I enjoyed this book and the crimes it discussed. Of particular interest was the psychology behind the evil and the methods used to solve the cases. Much of the focus was on the fascinating career of Roy Hazelwood and the BSU.

Where's the plot?
Revisado: 05-08-19
This is the first book I will return to audible. The story is just endless jibber without substance. The production was excellent- but does not balance the lack of a plot.

There are reasons why some of the most famous serial killers in the world have names that stick in our memories, send shivers up our spines, make us double-check to make sure the doors are locked at night, and maybe peek under the bed to be sure nothing is lurking there before we turn off the lights.

Highlights of Crimes by Serial Killers
Revisado: 11-14-17
This book highlights 15 serial killer crimes, mostly well publicized stories. The information is interesting and clearly outlined. The reader is easy to listen to but the pause between chapters is too long and a bit annoying. I recommend this book as even if you are already familiar with the crimes.
