This has angst, and anxious single mom who is trying to keep custody of her two small children, a hero who can talk her anxiety down every time, great siblings for supporting characters ❤️ I need all their stories 😩

Honestly one of the best novels I've listened to in years. Great story, great mythology, it has excellent prose and the romance scenes are tastefully done. The plot hooks you immediately and take you in for the ride. I loved it!

Fantasy meets the Great Depression

Wonderful story of two marginalize young adults who team up for "The Hunt" for a chance at a better life for themselves and their families. It was sent more in a great depression type setting with city boy and a country girl type main characters. Similar in feel to Divine Rivals, Over the Garden Wall, and A Study in Drowning. Romance with a little spice, audio narrator was great.

I LOVE this series, but I'm sad to say that I had to take a star away because an entire chapter is missing. Chapter 30 to be exact. Please 🙏 fix!

World building was great, contains mature themes

Great aesthetic and world building. Gives off similar vibes to the French Beauty and the Beast movie. The mature content was too much however, I would have liked less mature scenes with greater character building. That is saying a lot for me as I typically don't mind it. This ended up being more in the category of erotica.

If you are hesitant about the narrator being sick, it's literally only for the first few chapters, and if you play at 1.5x speed or more, you won't even notice.

The book was entertaining and spicy, great dragon battle scenes, intense romantic relationship, family and political drama. The author needs to work a little more on dialog, and the reasons for conflict felt a little underdeveloped. Overall, this series has major potential to be something great, and I'm actually excited for book 2.

A summer read full of angst

Solid 3.5 ..This book is about following your own path....the plot centers around the FMC coming to terms with that and going after what she actually wants in life instead of what others think is best for her.

Angst and pining are the most prevalent emotions this book gives off, so if you're in the mood for that type of plot with some summer vibes and fluff throw in then this is the book for you!
