A bag of clichés

I'm embarrassed I sat through this whole book

Mediocre characters. there were a lot of moments where the male power fantasy all star cast tried to make me feel like their emotional growth was profound. but for me it just fell flat. there were all of 2 female identifying characters in the book, and they both wanted to have sex with the main character. said main character seemed like a self insert and the writer kept using the word "Cliche" to try and excuse how uninspired the whole story was. there are small nuggets in here that are almost good but not worth slogging through the whole mindless testosterone fueled fantasy. the characters were flawed, but not in a way that made them believable. their flaws were all essentially the same, and the characters were all basically the same archetype. it's sad really, as I had high hopes for this book. at least it was free with my subscription.

I loved this book, I'm sad there aren't more like it, I have been wanting to read it for so long and having access to this Audio version is a blessing. it was even better than I'd hoped it would be. it touches on some of the deepest parts of the lore of Mundus and it was a joyous read. I am downloading the next book right now

I loved this book. it has reawakened my love for the Fantasy Genre. I was surprised repeatedly and I can't wait for the next installment. The tension was great. characters and their struggles and relationships were so real. just a fantastic journey.
