Historia
Ten years ago, six friends went on vacation. One made it out alive... In that instant, college student Quincy Carpenter became a member of a very exclusive club - a group of survivors the press dubbed “The Final Girls”: Lisa, who lost nine sorority sisters to a college dropout's knife; Sam, who endured the Sack Man during her shift at the Nightlight Inn; and now Quincy, who ran bleeding through the woods to escape the massacre at Pine Cottage. Despite the media's attempts, the three girls have never met.

This book is bad, as in not good.
Revisado: 07-15-17
Apparently all you need to receive rave reviews from book reviewer's is a beyond logic and belief plot twist and for well-known author to reference Gone Girl.
Just because you "didn't see it coming" doesn't make it good.
This book is not suspenseful. It lacks the tension of a thriller, and the characters are aggravating.
Every single detective in this book is inept and even though much of the evidence is right in front of them, they don't act on it. They keep harping on the fact that she survives. Like that's a logical reason to believe that she's guilty. I just don't get it. And that's all I have to say

Too clever for its own good
Revisado: 05-09-17
This book tries way too hard to be clever and twisting. There's so many unbelievable story lines and threads wound throughout. The only reason I could finish it was that I had nothing else downloaded.

Historia
In the autumn of 1938, Germany's reichsführer, Heinrich Himmler, is growing frustrated at the British using their regional power in India to block the passage of an SS expedition to Tibet. Determined to spite them, he plots to steal something the British hold dear and have failed for the seventh time that spring to achieve: a first summit of Mount Everest. Seventy years later, seasoned mountain guide Neil Quinn's ninth visit to the top of the world's highest mountain, this time in charge of the 16-year-old son of a Long Island billionaire, begins to unravel.

Historia
Rebecca Wright has reclaimed her life, finding her way out of her grief and depression following a personal tragedy years ago. She spends her days working in customer support for the Internet dating site where she first met her husband. But she has a strange, persistent sense that everything around her is somewhat off-kilter: She constantly feels as if she has walked into a room and forgotten what she intended to do there; on TV, the president seems to be the wrong person in the wrong place; her dreams are full of disquiet.

Not good
Revisado: 03-25-16
I felt like I was being read down to by a consistent sappy overemphasis of words. And, when a reader does a poor job of changing their tone of voice based on gender, the book is ruined.
There's too much description of mundane things. I couldn't get through an hour.

From the internationally acclaimed author of the Harry Hole novels—a fast, tight, darkly lyrical stand-alone novel that has at its center the perfectly sympathetic antihero: an Oslo contract killer who draws us into an unexpected meditation on death and love.

I love everything Nesbø
Revisado: 04-09-15
I didn't think the narration was as bad as other reviewers felt
This story is both brutal and gentle in its own well thought way. Nesbø is a wonderful writer in my opinion and the only thing disappointing about this book is its shortness.
Although the books artwork makes you think Harry Høle, don't get your hopes up.
