Enjoyed the book
Revisado: 06-10-22
I listened to the Audible version. I liked the book and would listen to another in this series. I enjoyed the story and the characters. The Audible book was narrated by the author. Most of the time, the narrators are also performers who use different voices for each character and "act out" the scenes. The author read the book. She did a good job of it, and I was able to follow the storyline. It just isn't quite the same. It is a little easier for me to follow a performance since I am usually listening while doing other things and hearing different voices for each character helps. I can't imagine how hard it would be to record an Audible book for anyone, author or performer. All that being said, I would still recommend this book. I do intend to listen to others by this author.

Short Spooky Story

First story I listened to (Audible editio ) by this author. Tense and spooky. Not graphic or gory. David Suchet was, of course, fantastic.

Love this series!
Revisado: 03-07-22
I found this author through my Kindle Unlimited and Audible subscriptions. I have listened to every book in this series and loved them all. I like the characters and enjoy that their lives are progressing throughout the series. It makes it almost feel like I am catching up with friends I have not seen for a while. The mysteries are satisfying and well thought out. I would recommend these to people who enjoy British mysteries and/or cozy mysteries.

Revisado: 02-03-22
I love T E Kinsey's Lady Hardcastle novels. This is an offshoot of those featuring characters introduced in the novels. You do not need to read those books to understand these, but they are good books that I would also recommend. The first book in this series provides background on the characters. This is the second novel. Witty dialog, interesting characters, and I love the relationship between the main characters who are members and relatives of a jazz band in 1920's London. I listened to the audible version and enjoyed the performance. He does a great job providing different voices for the characters and acts the parts instead of just reading. I would recommend you give either the book or audible version a try.

Historia
Three days into the maiden voyage that would end in disaster, a passenger is found dead inside a locked cabin - the victim of a murder. Jacques Futrelle, author of the popular "Thinking Machine" mysteries, is asked to use his knowledge of criminology to conduct a quiet investigation. Adding to the delicate nature of the inquiry is a suspect list that reads like a Who's Who of high society - and every single one of them has a motive for murder.
