Incredible performance
Revisado: 05-25-22
The story was good. I like Lisa Jewel and this was true to her style. What was most fascinating was the performance by Karina Fernandez. She really brought it all to life for me and helped me to see everything vividly. I will look for more stories narrated by her.

Historia
Understanding ADHD in Women provides years of research that proves why medical professionals no longer believe that Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a condition only found in young, school-aged boys, as it was once believed. In fact, extensive research has proven that the inattentive form of ADHD, which the majority of women have, can be just as difficult, if not even more so, than the hyperactive/impulsive form, like the majority of men have.

I can’t listen to this
Revisado: 03-28-22
I listened to the introduction and started chapter one but had to stop. Why is the narrator whining constantly? Especially given the subject of the book, the narrator needs to have a stronger and more confident voice.

Historia
Stephanie Plum, Trenton, New Jersey's favorite pistol-packing, condom-carrying bounty hunter, is back and on the trail of a revenge-seeking waitress who's skipped bail. With the help of 73-year-old Grandma Mazur, ex-hooker Lula, a transvestite musician named Sally Sweet, and the all-too-hospitable, all-too-sexy Joe Morelli, Stephanie might just catch her woman.

Really enjoy the series and narrator
Revisado: 10-25-20
These stories are very nice - not award winning, not intriguing, but fun, funny and a fantastic way to spend my time. I’ve gone through 1-4 in the series. I downloaded the 5th but exchanged it because they used a different narrator and it spoiled it all for me. Back to the story, it was my favorite of the first 4. I love Lula! And the addition of Sally was great. The not-so-perfect trio cracked me up!

Historia
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

What a story!
Revisado: 09-13-19
What a great story from every angle! I couldn’t stop listening. As with all good books, I was drawn in immediately. My curiosity was piqued from the start and I wanted to know what happened as much as Theo did. I was right there with him the whole way, it was so good!

A winner all the way
Revisado: 02-07-19
Joe Jameson is my favorite narrator. Just excellent! This story is really enjoyable. It wasn’t as predictable as I was led to believe. It was very fun, lots of twists and turns and just when you think you have it figured out, another wrench is thrown in to make the story more interesting. I’m looking forward to book 2.

Historia
A middle-aged man returns to his childhood home to attend a funeral. He is drawn to the farm at the end of the road, where, when he was seven, he encountered a most remarkable girl, Lettie Hempstock. Forty years earlier, a man committed suicide in a stolen car at this farm at the end of the road. Like a fuse on a firework, his death lit a touchpaper and resonated in unimaginable ways. The darkness was unleashed, something scary and thoroughly incomprehensible to a little boy. And Lettie - magical, comforting, wise beyond her years - promised to protect him, no matter what.

Good, but not Gaiman’s best
Revisado: 09-23-18
I love Neil Gaiman, and this story had a lot of what I love about him in it, but there was too much unsaid. I didn’t get what was going on sometimes and it took away from the story. I was left with too many questions.

Historia
Returning to the territory he so brilliantly explored in his masterful New York Times best seller American Gods, the incomparable Neil Gaiman offers up a work of dazzling ingenuity, a kaleidoscopic journey deep into myth that is at once startling, terrifying, exhilarating, and fiercely funny, a true wonder of a novel that confirms Stephen King's glowing assessment of the author as "a treasure house of story, and we are lucky to have him."

Loved the story but not the narrator
Revisado: 09-23-18
I almost stopped listening to this one because of the narrator. His raspy, James Kirk-ish performance was annoying and detracted from the story. I loved the story and, if narrated well, I would hav loved it more. There was a lot that was not said and left to you to imagine, but it felt fully rounded. Really enjoyable book.
