Historia
Ten years ago, after a sun-soaked summer spent in Greece, best friends Bess and Joni were cleared of having any involvement in their friend Evangeline’s death. But that didn’t stop the media from ripping apart their teenage lives like vultures. While the girls were never convicted, Joni, ever the opportunist, capitalized on her newfound infamy to become a motivational speaker. Bess, on the other hand, resolved to make her life as small and controlled as possible so she wouldn’t risk losing everything all over again. And it almost worked.

Much ado about nothing
Revisado: 02-24-24
Kept expecting/waiting for a twist. None. So many unanswered questions. Very unsatisfying on the whole.

Historia
In the tradition of Emily Giffin and Marisa de los Santos, How Lucky You Are is an engaging and moving novel about three women struggling to keep their long-standing friendship alive. Waverly, who's always been the group's anchor, runs a cozy bakery but worries each month about her mounting debt. Kate is married to a man who's on track to be the next governor of Virginia, but the larger questions brewing in their future are unsettling her.

The narrator is horrible

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Coleen Marlo inspires near suicide in me. If I never hear Larry said Larr-ee again it will be too soon.
