Historia
Eight years have passed since the Battle of the Serpent. But in the icy north, Lady Nore of the Court of Teeth has reclaimed the Ice Needle Citadel. There, she is using an ancient relic to create monsters of stick and snow who will do her bidding and exact her revenge. Suren, child queen of the Court of Teeth, and the one person with power over her mother, fled to the human world. There, she lives feral in the woods. Lonely, and still haunted by the merciless torments she endured in the Court of Teeth, she bides her time by releasing mortals from foolish bargains.

Fantastic

Fell in love with this protagonist, I probably Iiked this better than the cruel prince. Recommend for sure.

Historia
Barrett Bloom is hoping college will be a fresh start after a messy high school experience. But when school begins on September 21, everything goes wrong. She’s humiliated by the know-it-all in her physics class, she botches her interview for the college paper, and at a party that night, she accidentally sets a frat on fire. The next morning, Barrett’s perplexed to find herself back in her dorm room bed, no longer smelling of ashes and crushed dreams. It’s September 21. Again.

Exactly What I Was Looking For
Revisado: 06-06-22
This book was so satisfying. I think I might have even liked it more than Today Tonight Tomorrow. Barrett and Miles are such compelling characters. The narrator did a fantastic job capturing everyone’s voices (especially Barrett’s of course). Only complaint is some bits that seemed to repeat or have lines missing (end of Ch 33 I think).

Essential Read for Any Budding Antiracist
Revisado: 06-02-20
Kendi writes eloquently about his experiences figuring out what anti racism is and how it differs from assimilationist and segregationist beliefs on race. He seamlessly weaves in facts about the development of racism and helpfully categorizes different kinds. His critiques of different strategies/views are insightful. I’m sure to go back to this book many times.
