I honestly thought I was listening to a Crichton book! The weaving of story line and science was superb.

Scott Brick is one of my favorite performers. He did not disappoint.

Vince Flynn lives

I wasn’t sure about a Mitch Rapp book written be someone other than Vince Flynn but Kyle Mills writes so much in the Flynn style that I forgot it wasn’t written by Flynn. George Guidall’s performance is top notch as usual. He IS the voice of Rapp!

Historical & compelling

Such a great story chronicling a dark time in our “recent” American history. I am old enough to remember those days but was a kid in 1968 when the story took place.

Compelling and sad but with a great message about the past and making one feel good about how far our society has progressed since that time.

Performance by narrators was fantastic. Have already highly recommend to friends & family.

Fascinating

Very well written & performed account of the expedition, it’s purpose, preparation and aftermath. I read this book years ago and loved the story & the pictures. Listening to it these many years later recalled my memories of the incredible accomplishments of these unique individuals.

Worth listening

This was a really good series! I enjoyed the story. The science is very accurate and obviously well understood by the author. The descriptions of the places are also accurate as I looked many of them up throughout the story. I do wish Mr. Abernathy had been given some instruction on the pronunciation of some of the words, explained the Spanish words and the word archipelago!! This series is worth your tome.

My favorite

James Lee Burke’s novels are my absolute favorites! Especially the Dave Robicheaux novels. I don’t have time to read books, so I listen to the audio books in my car. I have listened to them all more than once and am currently going back and listening in order. Mr. Burke’s use of simile and metaphor is so intricate and imaginary. I can literally see the scenes he paints come to life in my mind. Will Patton’s performance in reading some of the novels is spectacular. His accents bring the characters to life!
