Predictable Ripoff

This book reads like the author is writing a fanfic of Sarah J. Maas. It’s got the same romantic setup as ACOTAR combined with the competitive landscape of “Throne of Glass,” only the main character is much less interesting.
The end “surprise” isn’t a surprise at all. The author snuck 1 sentence in to build that piece out of literally nowhere, so you knew where this was going.
Smut is few and far between.
As for the audio piece: The female narrator is great! The male narrator is leaning far too heavily on his ability to execute the breathy growl. Sir, you do not need to breathily growl that you reached down to pet your dog. Your sexy voice doesn’t belong there, thanks.
It’s a fast food read… it’s still Fae adventure smut, but it leaves you wishing you’d eaten [read] something better.

Who is the subject in this sentence?!

3 female characters as the only subjects of the story, and the author uses “she” constantly without telling us which “she” is which. The whole story had promise, but I couldn’t even track it because I couldn’t tell who was talking to whom about whom. Throw your audience a bone and name your characters every so often when they’re doing actions!

The narrator was very boring, the content was vague and unhelpful, and it was a chore to get through. You would get a better description of chakras by Googling it.
