Fantasy that reads like historical fiction
Revisado: 10-14-24
Interesting main character but would have enjoyed more explanation of his skillset from backstory. The lack thereof interfered with suspension of disbelief

Bordeaux, 1367. Having angered the bloodthirsty Don Pedro, King of Castile, Sir Thomas Blackstone is thoroughly sick of his mission for the Prince of Wales, but must remain true to his oath. Beo has become too melancholy
Revisado: 03-01-24
Was a risky take on the series but it worked. but if beobrand continues to brood then I’m afraid I’ll have to put down the series. Also, I am hopeful beo’s son will reunite with his father and together they can overcome a great foe

Have listened to this book of the series at least twice. Author captures the time and I love the characters. Sir Gilbert Kilbere is also a perfect sidekick for Thomas Blackstone
