Do you remember when relativism was the nemesis of Christians and all people of right reason? This idea that “you have your truth and I have mine” was so pervasive and insidious that Pope Benedict XVI warned it was a “dictatorship” that threatened all our freedoms. Then, seemingly overnight, we’re being told that it’s not a problem anymore. Why? Because in today’s “woke” world, most people are now moralists, not relativists. They impose a litany of new, seemingly absolute “commandments” to make sure we’re never racist, sexist, judgmental or bigoted.

this book is exactly what you need with sightings of source materials, real world experience, and a step by step walk through of difficult conversations.
Dr. Grossman isn't a voice actor, but this isn't entertainment, and who else but a Dr. can pronounce most of those terms?

what I liked:
I absolutely loved the love story
the world building
the pun and references
didn't like:
the 3-4 minutes of stats
the love story was sweet, gentle, and heart warming. it never started heading to softcore and always politely faded to black.
the world building was good, and I enjoyed seeing it seeded with the promise of further evolution as a baked in feature.
the stats where a bit much. I like a good stat roll out in my lit RPG but 3-4 minutes of it is a drain. With most being repeated numbers, sounds like they could have been easily condensed.

Great writing as always, has really substantive magitech upgrading in this one. It does get more preachie then the past. Branching from transhumanism to plane old racism. Almost couldn't finish it, but I'm glad I pushed through to the end. Last 3 hours or so is a rollercoaster! oh the feels!
