There's more twists and turns in this story than Lombard St. in San Francisco, Ca. With voice of Kevin Pierce at the helm of words, the mysterious people are good, no wait they're bad, no wait, they're good, no wait............. Yes, and I'm still a bit wary of the so-called "good guy" at the end.

Seeing the Mad Mick unleashed was a bit hard to take, but he had good reason. Is there a happy future in store for him, Barb and the new additions? I hope so.

I can't wait until the next installment of the gripping adventures of Connor McGuire and company. Usually "cliff hangers" leave me fuming and thinking really bad words I can't impart here, but this time I was left smiling. Hurry up and get that next book ready!!

I can barely get through this tripe. He loves himself as whatever name he happens to go by at the time. His this and his that, and on and on and on ad nauseum. He tells the tale of Paul in such lower case that you'd think the REAL Paul never existed until this egotist came along.

Action in spite of Mia

She Never shuts up or stops with the questions. The story is great, and the action never stops. It's a thrill ride from the beginning to the end. The narration is spot on. The characters come alive the good ones and the bad ones. I can't wait to listen to the entire series.

Well, I DIDN'T SEE "THAT" COMING!

It's hard to write a review without giving stuff away. The story is a sound barrier breaking jet from the first page to the last. This thing ought to come with seat belts. I need to go back and reread because I know I missed a few underlying messages along the way. It's not a exactly cliff hanger but it kind of leaves doors open. Questions are answered and asked too. I can't say enough good things about the book. The narrator is the ONE, the ONLY, Kevin Pierce who is the engineer steering the train.

I'm partial to the Audio version but, the media doesn't really matter; paper, kindle, or audio, be prepared to be amused, amazed and entertained from page one to the very end.

I can't finish it

Rarely do I give up on a book before seeing how it ends. In this case, I just don't care. I always feel horrible giving a bad review because I know writers (at least I hope) try very hard to write a good story. The premise is just too out there. It's not plausible, or even reasonable. All of this is in my opinion and I can see a lot of other people heartily disagree with me.

The narration is great and I hope to give this author another read some time.

ANOTHER GRAND SLAM HOME RUN!

I am always amazed that Franklin Horton seems to "outdo" his books every time. Yet, he does. I always say "this is the best book yet......" then there's the next book. Along with the voice of Kevin Pierce, the characters come alive. I can't imagine listening to anyone else read these books. I don't want to give any spoilers so I'll just say I'm rooting for 'you know who' and hope The Mick is aware. 😉 Jim & Conor getting together may not be a "bromance", but I'll wager they are "Hell on wheels" together. Do NOT get in their way.

This will take another listen to pick up the bits and pieces.

Whether you turn the page, flip the kindle, or turn on the headphones, do not miss this book!

We Know How It Ends, Mark Keeps Changing The How

Thanks to Mark Goodwin and Kevin Pierce, the final book in The Kingdom of Darkness series takes on more adventure and drama than ever. Without gratuitous violence, language or sex, Mark crams an extreme amount of drama and "edge of your seat" excitement into each book in the series and this final one TAKES THE CAKE! This last book Megiddo is an exciting adventure with Emelio Vega and company. They lose a few people along the way, but gain friends and enemies too.

It's great reading/listening no matter how you experience it. Whether you turn the page, flip it on Kindle, or listen through Audio, the adventure will keep you up till the end. DON'T MISS THIS ONE! In all honesty, we're closer to the End of Days than we like to think. There's so much evil in this world now, be prepared.

Mad Mick and a changing cast

Just when you thought the Mad Mick series couldn't possibly get any better.....it does! New people in, old people out, blood and gore and then there's Barb. It's edge of the seat and hold on to your hat time with Connor and crew. There's also a sneaky suspicion of other people being introduced the to the clan sometime soon. The plot is thicker than Barb's tongue is sharp. The snarky characters left for Connor to deal with should be a new book all by themselves. I'm waiting (im)patiently for the "Revenge of Connor Maguire" ;) I just gave Franklin his next title ;)

Thank you Franklin for an outstanding read. I'm going to go and read it again.

Ending?

Edge of the seat, will she or won't she? I wasn't thrilled with how she handled a couple of things but the action kept me listening well after 1a.m. Then the END............ just like that. I remember only one other book that ended like that. If you like things decided and endings defined, move along to something else. The narrator was excellent and her French accent perfect. C'est Vrai!
