Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Great Book!
Revisado: 06-23-22
A fantastic story outlines societal issues and the horrible treatment of women. At the same time, I know that women endure some if not all of the issues presented in this book; it's something I would not wish on my worst enemy. And even though this story was painted as if it had occurred some time ago, the same issues still prevail in 2022. It's a shame that as educated people, whether educated by schools or nature, we still cannot let go of prejudice. However, I applaud those who can overcome just difficulties and be positive examples for the rest of us. While this may not be possible, I admire the strong women who can defend themselves against those who think women are the weaker sex. Unfortunately, sometimes violence can only be reciprocated with equal acts. Be smart, be safe, be strong.

Historia
"A tutti i mali ci sono due rimedi: il tempo e il silenzio". Uno dei romanzi più appassionanti che siano mai stati scritti, una storia che tocca temi come la speranza, la giustizia, la vendetta, la riconoscenza, il perdono... Un classico che appassiona con la sua trama sorprendente, potente e avvincente.
