Historia
I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist argues that Christianity requires the least faith of all worldviews because it is the most reasonable. The authors lay out the evidence for truth, God, and the Bible in logical order and in a readable, non-technical, engaging style. A valuable aid to those interested in examining the reasonableness of the Christian faith, Geisler and Turek provide a firm challenge to the prior beliefs of doubters and skeptics.

A bit too dogmatic in tone
Revisado: 08-04-17
I'm not sure if it was the reader who made it sound dogmatic. I was not convinced by every argument made - like the one for ID - but I definitely learned things.

Historia
Christianity is a picture of reality. It explains why the world is the way it is. When the pieces of this puzzle are properly assembled, we see the big picture clearly. Christianity is a true story of how the world began, why the world is the way it is, what role humans play in the drama, and how all the plotlines of the story are resolved in the end. In The Story of Reality, best-selling author and host of Stand to Reason Gregory Koukl explains the five words that form the narrative backbone of the Christian story.

Yawning
Revisado: 07-29-17
After 3 hours I gave up. Neither compelling nor pleasant to listen to. There are many better resources on apologetics.

Historia
Named one of the top books of 2009 by the Times Literary Supplement (London), this controversial and compelling audiobook from Dr. Stephen C. Meyer presents a convincing new case for intelligent design (ID) based on revolutionary discoveries in science and DNA. Along the way Meyer argues that Charles Darwin's theory of evolution as expounded in The Origin of Species did not, in fact, refute ID.

I'll never buy such a long book again
Revisado: 04-02-17
I found his arguments very hard to follow. I think many of his points could have been stated more concisely. While I agree with many of his conclusions, I didn't really like this book. I found some of his arguments weak. However I did enjoy his points related to mathematics and computer science.

What if your best reasons to doubt God prove that He exists? In an engaging and memorable way, Stealing From God shows how many atheistic arguments, instead of disproving God, reveal that He actually exists.

Weak logic
Revisado: 05-05-16
What was most disappointing about Frank Turek’s story?
I found the logic weak. I cannot accept that the law of gravity demands the existence of a lawgiver, for example. I cannot imagine using that argument discussing the issue with an atheist.
What didn’t you like about John McLain’s performance?
I had to quit listening about a third of the way through, because I found the narrator very annoying - obnoxious and argumentative and negative.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
My 20 year old son thought it was OK.
Any additional comments?
I prefer the works of Lee Strobel and C.S. Lewis and Ravi Zacharias to name a few. I don't think I'll be interested in another book by Turek.

Historia
Stem-cell research. Cloning. Genetic engineering. Today, discoveries in biotechnology are occurring so rapidly that we can barely begin to address one ethical debate before another looms overhead. This brave new world we've entered is a daunting one as well, with disturbing implications for the sanctity of life and for human nature itself. How should we respond as Christians?

not as good as I hoped

not as good as I hoped
Revisado: 09-23-15
What did you like best about How to Be a Christian in a Brave New World? What did you like least?
I was disappointed in this book. I have greatly enjoyed many of Joni's books but this one was poorly organized, and therefore repetitive. The material could have been covered in half the time. I really disliked the narrator - she came across as preachy and religious, not logical.
Would you be willing to try another one of Reneé Raudman’s performances?
absolutely not
Was How to Be a Christian in a Brave New World worth the listening time?
the material was interesting but could have been covered more quickly.
