Historia
"While the history books are filled with tales of obsessive visionary geniuses who remade the world in their images with sheer, almost irrational force, I've found that history is also made by individuals who fought their egos at every turn, who eschewed the spotlight, and who put their higher goals above their desire for recognition." (From the prologue)

Boring is the enemy. And that book is torn in arguments and logic, and complex which means boring.

Are you tired of feeling f*cked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unf--ked version of yourself. "Wake up to the miracle you are," he directs. "Here's what you've forgotten: You're a f--king miracle of being." It isn't other people that are standing in your way; it isn't even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive. It's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

The book is full of "ideas" how to spend your life doing on the net things that don't work.
After 6 months of writing my blog I realized how theoretical and superficial the tips from this book are.

The words you use say a lot about you. Some words say that you are smart, eloquent, or persuasive. Others say that, uh, you don't know what you're talking about. Knowing which words to use and how to use them are keys to getting the most from your mind and making a lasting impression. Word Smart will help you learn the words you absolutely need to know!

Absolutely wrong approach
Revisado: 02-11-06
The authors grouped words into categories and as an example tried to use the same words in context. In spite of all their creativity the examples do not make an impression, in other words they are boring. It could have been much better if they just gave interesting stories with the target language without putting words in any groups and trying to use them all in one story. Sorry mind doesn't work that way. It's not an encyclopedia; it wants something authentic and interesting. And the conversations between narators (they speak to each other while explaing new vocabulary)are stupid.
My advice: Buy any other book (it should be interesting), you’ll find the same words there, but at least you won’t have to force yourself to listen to it.
