Historia
The only thing in Colin Mulligan's life that makes sense is taking cars apart and putting them back together. In the auto shop where he works with his father and brothers, he tries to get through the day without having a panic attack or flying into a rage. Drinking helps. So does running and lifting weights until he can hardly stand. But none of it can change the fact that he's gay, a secret he has kept from everyone.

Complexities of Man
Revisado: 11-22-21
This series hits a little close to home. The emotional complexity of these characters remind me of actual real life people. The insight of the constant thought processes that are going thru the characters minds is perfect. These characters are damaged emotionally and they don’t even realize it. Its a reminder that people come from such diverse backgrounds, and we don’t understand the complexities of family life. We all think that we are unique and have it rougher with our families than others. This book makes you realize that we are not special. Everyone is going thru their own personal hell.

Good story but these books drag on
Revisado: 12-28-20
So, I like the books. I like the characters. I don’t like that I’ve read the entire series and all of this has happened within a year? If I’m going to read 6-8+ books, I would appreciate more time progression. Otherwise, come out with the books every 3-4 months. These kind of stories are irritating and are a waste of my imagination.

Leo Tolstoy's classic story of doomed love is one of the most admired novels in world literature. Generations of readers have been enthralled by his magnificent heroine, the unhappily married Anna Karenina, and her tragic affair with dashing Count Vronsky.

Uhhhhh really?
Revisado: 10-31-17
I’ve been wanting to read this book for a long time now. I got the opportunity to read/listen to it via Audible. I appreciate the attempt by Maggie Gyllenhaal. She’s a great actress coming into her own and all. Unfortunately, what makes her acting lackluster and forgettable is brought to this narration.
I fell asleep many times trying to get thru this narration. Took me three months to finish because I would fall asleep and had to rewind. Hope she sticks to acting from now on.

Finally Something Diverse
Revisado: 07-27-17
Where does Generation One rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is book is filled with diversity and that alone makes it different from the many other books I have read. It's in a category on its own.
What did you like best about this story?
The diversity and background of each of the characters. That was what I was dying to know more of. Their powers are intriguing but I wanted to delve more into the characters backgrounds. Maybe its just enough to make me come back for more?
Any additional comments?
I didn't care much for the previous books that this book is based off. I was disheartened by the way that series ended. I hope to keep up with this series and not be disappointed again. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping the ending to this series ends well.
