Historia
One hundred and seventy-five years have passed since god quit on mankind. Without his blessing, Hell itself, along with the ancient power of The Deep, were unleashed upon the world. Two world wars and oceans of blood later, a balance was reached. Demonkind took its place as the ruling aristocracy. Mankind, thanks to its ability to create, fell to the position of working proletariat. Alive, but not living. Lucky us. Welcome to New Golgotha, the east coast supercity.

A Great Story, Malcom Whining and Lex..teen drama.
Revisado: 05-27-15
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Tough Call. The Jurassic Park Movie was great, the story more in depth, odd seeing the movie first. Good was the Narration, bad was Malcom (The mathematician) 20 minute diatribes that I ended up just fast forwarding. Lex the little girl was whining all through the book (probably true to life) Good was it was just a good story line, Adventure and Scary Dinosaurs..
What did you like best about this story?
The narration was top notch. As much as I hated Malcom and Lex, the Narrator brought it out just as strong as all the other characters
What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?
Solid narration from top to bottom.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Did it 10 years ago !
Any additional comments?
I found myself glad this one was over. Not exactly sure, probably more of I already knew the story. But it ended well, one of my wishes was met and one was gone in the end. Guess who!

Historia
Libby Day was seven when her mother and two sisters were murdered in "The Satan Sacrifice of Kinnakee, Kansas". As her family lay dying, little Libby fled their tiny farmhouse into the freezing January snow. She lost some fingers and toes, but she survived, and famously testified that her 15-year-old brother, Ben, was the killer. Twenty-five years later, Ben sits in prison, and troubled Libby lives off the dregs of a trust created by well-wishers who've long forgotten her.

A Transfixing Story Line leading to Final Peace
Revisado: 11-02-14
What did you love best about Dark Places?
How the author wove in and out of the history of the characters, all building up to the final twist and climax of the story. A Masterful 'Who was the Killer', all bound in the agony and lost life of the one suriving child.
What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
This was one of the few books with male / female readers. It worked wonderfully to give added light to the story line. I always wonder why they don't do this more.
The readers pulled this off wonderfully!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oddly Yes. It kept the pace up very well.
Any additional comments?
It is a Dark Book, Graphic at Points, visceral in others, sweet and charming in most places.
I highly recommend this book.

A Very Good Story Line, Twisting and a Great Endin
Revisado: 10-24-14
If you could sum up Plum Island in three words, what would they be?
Trimup over Evil
Who was your favorite character and why?
Not any one in particular, they were all developed.
What does Scott Brick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Narration really made this one. The multiple Story Lines kept me gulued to this.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Sad when my favorite one died..., happy when in the ending ...ended Well.

Creepy vs the Heroine who just never Quits!
Revisado: 08-27-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Christmas Land... It will ring in your head, the spooky way that Kate spins these voices seem odd at first, but it fits.... Kids gone bad, actually a Age Old Villan driving one spooky Rolls Royce and his odd creepy servant set the stage. Just when you thought it was over, a new part beings, and then once more... It is about Revenge, saving a lost Child and a dude that just will not die as he infects your mind with his thoughts.
What if you could just move back and forth in time, and it cost you dearly... but it helps so many people.. this is the Delima.. but wait, and Evil Guy can do it to...
Nosferatu is more human here, just aged and can heal... No fangs or pale skin, a Man who is just Creepy and preys on Children...
What did you like best about this story?
Just Creepy enough to be believable, a solid story line that just keeps building up and up!
It isn't a Vampire Book, it isn't really a Horror story either, Nos Vortue
What about Kate Mulgrew’s performance did you like?
Kids going 'Christmas Land' Get that out of my head.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I like the Female Herioine, nothing rocks more than a Woman who never gives up!
Any additional comments?
Get this book, you will be glad you did!

Just a Great Story, Exciting Climax
Revisado: 08-27-14
What did you love best about Mr. Mercedes?
Stephen King, has shifted Gears to just a great story teller. I thought after 'Joyland' which I really enjoyed, could he do it again and he did.
Who was your favorite character and why?
All Characters from the Evil Ice Cream Man to Mr. Hodge's the Retired Cop. One last run in Retirement showed more than he bargined for. Some truly Sad 'Oh No' Moments to Surpise Ending...I found myself glued to this book.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The Same. "Mr. Mercedes"
Any additional comments?
I am picky, I want a Great Story I can get lost in, this was just the right mix of 'Dectective' to 'Love' to 'Friendship' and 'Suspense'
