Historia
Women can be heroes. When twenty-year-old nursing student Frances “Frankie” McGrath hears these words, it is a revelation. Raised in the sun-drenched, idyllic world of Southern California and sheltered by her conservative parents, she has always prided herself on doing the right thing. But in 1965, the world is changing, and she suddenly dares to imagine a different future for herself. When her brother ships out to serve in Vietnam, she joins the Army Nurse Corps and follows his path.

For those who do not know anything about the Vietnam war, this book is for you
Revisado: 09-19-24
I remember watching shows like China Beach when I was growing up. I grew up with an army ranger, father who did not go to Vietnam. He missed Vietnam by months. In college, I took a course on Vietnam and the Cold War and I still didn’t quite understand it or the effects of the war until I read this book. The story is so engaging and you feel like you’re a part of Frankie brain. This story also helps understand the veterans coming back from Afghanistan and Iraq. But thankfully, we have more understanding of PTSD and war trauma that we assist better than what the story describes happening. I haven’t cried while reading a book more than I did reading Nicholas Sparks a walk to remember. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand Vietnam, the effects of Vietnam and the treatment of soldiers airmen marines, and the Navy as they returned from any sort of conflict.

Continuation of the story
Revisado: 06-23-24
I like the continuation of the story. It was good to find out the history of Marcus. Especially what happened in New Orleans. I found Phoebe story to be a little whiny. Can’t wait for book 5

Historia
Rufus Leung Gresham, future Earl of Greshambury and son of a former Hong Kong supermodel has a problem: the legendary Gresham Trust has been depleted by decades of profligate spending, and behind all the magazine covers and Instagram stories manors and yachts lies nothing more than a gargantuan mountain of debt. The only solution, put forth by Rufus’s scheming mother, is for Rufus to attend his sister’s wedding at a luxury eco-resort, a veritable who’s-who of sultans, barons, and oligarchs, and seduce a woman with money.

I never want his stories to end
Revisado: 05-24-24
I loved this story. Kinda figured out the twist mid-story but loved the end. I always want an epilogue to know what happened to the main couple after the story wraps up. Highly recommend any of these novels
