Not just a language book.

I had no idea what to expect when I started this and was rewarded with a little jem. While Youness addresses language learning he also drops in his approach to life in general. This approach to language acquisition will be effective in other areas as well. Well done first effort.

I tried to like it.

I wanted to like this story. I really did. I too am a Christian thus although I can quibble about some points of theology that part did not trouble me. What I found offensive was the short shrift he gave the genocide visited on native Americans and it appears that anyone who is left of his political views is a communist. Be warned.

Not Normal!

Just about finished this. One of the few books I have ever binged listened to. Woodward is a excellent respected and a respected person in his field. One can be sure that what he presented is as factual as he could be. That is what makes this a frightening warning. I put this challenge to this who support this president. How can this be normal or even acceptable?

A great review of just how important NOAA and the NWS is to our nation, they provide vital services without fanfare or even the expectation of a thank you. Also a look at what the current administration is trying to do to it. A must on your playlist.

Was not really sure what to expect when I started. What I got was a great examination of duty and honor in a military setting. I you like military science fiction, even if it is not actually you usual fare, do not hesitate to get this one.

A must read for our time!

I doubt I can add anything new to what has been said already. He put into words what I have been seeing and fearing. My one regret is that those who need to read/hear this audiobook are the very supporters of our Tyrant wannabe. Even if the did I have no doubt they would just reject it as the wining of a loser snowflake. For the rest of us, we have been warned and armed.

I saw the negative reviews and in this case have to take exception. I throughly appreciated the humor in this story. After going through a few things I needed it and am looking forward to a sequel.

Good Start

Good start. Not a intricate plot or deep character development but a fun listen nonetheless. Hesitated after reading several reviews talking about the "speed reading". I did not find the narrator did duct to follow.

Sherlock with a dark side

I picked this up on sale not knowing anything about this author. This is not even my usual kind of story. All I can say is wow. I was hooked from the beginning and stayed that way throughout. His pacing and timing is spot on and he made this story seem all to real. Beware. You will want to allow time to listen and do not miss anything. Everything ties in!
