Historia
As one of the few black students in his philosophy program at Columbia University years ago, Coleman Hughes wondered why his peers seemed more pessimistic about the state of American race relations than his own grandparents–who lived through segregation. The End of Race Politics is the culmination of his years-long search for an answer.

A must read for people who are trying to understand what’s happening in our society today in the United States
Revisado: 04-06-24
I would recommend that everyone who hears about this book read it. I’m an older person and for me, living through the 60s and on; I have been at a loss to understand what all is happening in our country in the last 10 or 15 years. It seems that most of the causes I championed and believed in to give equal rights to everyone in this country suddenly fell apart! What happened?
Coleman Hughes reminds us of the smart phone and other things in our society today that in many ways are improvements but also plague us and lead us into thinking we don’t have a special country and that almost half of the country is in battle with almost the other half of our country.
Knowledge is power and the more Americans understand all the ramifications of the world we are living in now, the better we as citizens and our country can become.

In The Ghost, investigative reporter Jefferson Morley tells Angleton's dramatic story, from his friendship with the poet Ezra Pound through the underground gay milieu of mid-century Washington to the Kennedy assassination to the Watergate scandal. From the agency's MKULTRA mind-control experiments to the wars of the Mideast, Angleton wielded far more power than anyone knew.

More of the truth about the assassination of JFK
Revisado: 12-29-23
It is difficult as for an American, who was a teenager when JFK was assassinated, to comprehend the evil forces that could kill the President of the United States and get away with it! The more the truly evil people who contributed to the unspeakable horror, our nation faced in 1963 are exposed, the more justice, finally prevails.
James Angleton is truly a monster, and I believe he was correct when he said he would be going to hell after he died.

Historia
Black Americans have long been shackled to the Democrats. Seeing no viable alternative, they have watched liberal politicians take the Black vote for granted without pledging anything in return. In Blackout, Owens argues that this automatic allegiance is both illogical and unearned. She contends that the Democrat Party has a long history of racism and exposes the ideals that hinder the Black community’s ability to rise above poverty, live independent and successful lives, and be an active part of the American dream.

An amazingly, brave, intelligent and talented woman!
Revisado: 09-05-23
As a person who has existed in a family, with many more liberal members than conservative ones, I admire Candace Owens so much! I’m not registered with either political party. There are some things I admire that are more commonly associated with the Democratic Party and somethings, that Republican Party stands, for that I strongly believe are true. Because I want to get along with the major part of my relatives that are liberal, I seldom express my true convictions on things. There are sometimes, however, it’s just too much to sit and listen and not express disagreement.
I agree with many of the things that Candace Owens has to say and I admire her more than words can express!

She tells with bravery and dignity for the first time the story of how she and her mother were betrayed and sold into sexual slavery in China and forced to suffer terrible psychological and physical hardship before they finally made their way to Seoul, South Korea - and to freedom.

Historia
...And What Do You Do? is a hard-hitting analysis of the royal family, exposing its extravagant use of public money and the highly dubious behaviour of some among its ranks, whilst being critical of the knee-jerk sycophancy shown by the press and politicians. Baker also considers the wider role the royals play in society, including the link with House of Lords reform, and the constitutional position of the monarch, which is important given Prince Charles’ present and intended approach.

A very informative book.
Revisado: 03-12-21
Although it goes into too much detail from time to time , it is an enjoyable, eye opening book. I don’t understand why some of the most popular books are not available on audio as I thought they would be. For example books by authors Samantha Markel and Lady Colin Campbell.
