Loved it from start to finish. Even though we didn't get much of Barns he takes best moment of the book (absolute legend). This book gave me 'end of series' vibes the whole way though, but it also set the stage for plenty more to come. Honestly I would be happy with this being the end, but just as happy to keep going.

ps: audio had several random little bzzztz of static, but I imagine that will be fixed by the time anyone reads this.

This series is definitely Ravens best hands down in my opinion. My only complaint is the length of the books.

Best characters ever

The single most annoying thing that I run into in books is when characters make decisions that don't make sense for that character to make, or just don't make sense for anyone to make. (Spoiler warning) My point is that characters like the demon lord and Ruyi's dad do do shitty things but they feel like real people when they do them. That is why this book is awesome, but it is also just a good book.

Overall great but...

So it is definitely worth the credit, but it has some major issues. Namely, ALL the hero's that aren't evil incarnate have CRIPPLING ptsd, and aside from that nit being how people work it also give me the vibe that the author thinks that extremely bad ptsd is a requirement for someone who has seen a lot of violence.
ps: that cliffhanger was cruel

Awesome But...

I loved this book, and I will absolutely be listening to the next. However, the world is not black and white and this book road the line of saying it is. Power does not corrupt absolutely it reveals absolutely, and that means that there are plenty of halfway decent guards, nobles and mages. I really hope to see her master turn out to be a true believer in GOOD nobles being the best form of government (or anything believable that has him disagree with the mc but not be a piece of shit).

This was great but I am worried

This book was great and the series is wonderful. However, this book feels like the natural end to the series (maybe with a couple of time skip epilogs or something). I have seen this in plenty of series and when a series keeps going after this point it almost always goes down hill. With that being said if a volume 7 comes out I will absolutely buy it on the off chance I am wrong.

Mixed feelings but it rates a 5 (SPOILER ALERT)

My only complaint is that I wish it was longer, and while do mean that I wish there was more so I could enjoy it longer that is not what I am getting at here. I would have loved a couple of chapters of Elaine and Justin over the centuries, and eh IDK it just felt like while it was a good ending we lost a lot of potential.

I love this series, and this book balances being good in and of itself and really setting up the immortal war arch. I am soooo hyped for this upcoming book (hopefully books). I absolutely loved the formorian last stand and this has that same feeling to it. It has had multiple books laying the ground work, and I am going to be checking for the next book religiously.

Very mixed feelings (SPOILER)

I got the ending I was rooting for, but instead of happily ever after it was more of a cliffhanger. Even in the epilog, they have wired loosing time stuff hinting at issues in the future, and that has nothing on Arthur and crew getting snatched to epheotus. AAAAH!!!

This one wasn't the best...but

My biggest gripe is that the common sense of the character (both good and bad guys) in combat is HORRIBLE. Slight spoiler alert but if your enemies are coming back after being impaled and left for dead after the 5th or 6th time I would think you would start mincing them.
Despite this book's less than awesome showing, I still like the characters and the world still seems to have potential to me. So end verdict is I will read book 4 but if it is a dud I will drop the series.
