Historia
En route to far-off stars, Toby’s consciousness has a crucial mission: inhabit his clone long enough to repair a spaceship, then zip back to Earth. He’s done it a million times, more or less. OK, twelve times. It should only take a few hours. Until he wakes up in jail. And he’s not alone. His fellow prisoners: a cadre of alien soldiers. His prison: an ethereal boundary that will imprison their spirits until their bodies die. His jailers can’t even see him. But their pet cat (er, iguana cat?) can—and it’s got a serious case of the zoomies.

A quick and clever story!
Revisado: 03-31-25
I was sceptical that any short story Timothy would write couldn't be adapted into a plot to a bigger book but this felt great. A snack sized adventure with the same clever problem solving I'm used to from his books.

Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

The Story I've Been Waiting For
Revisado: 12-24-24
After the first book, the series took a detour. although fun and exciting, it rarely touched on the elements that got me hooked to begin with. In typical Timothy Zahn fashion, it all came together in this book. This book turned the story up a notch!

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Enjoyable, But Not Andy's Best
Revisado: 02-01-23
I've read The Martian and Project Hail Mary and this comes in 3rd on that list. it feels like it leans more on the fiction side of sci-fi. It is still a fun story but it lacked that attention to detail I've grown accustomed to.
Rosario does a great job reading and pulling off a variety of tricky accents for the characters.
Overall I think it's worth a read.

Even Better Than The Movie
Revisado: 01-16-23
I saw the movie first and liked it. now that I know the book, I love it even more. I think the changes between the two mediums are understandable and warranted.
Although Wil Wheaton's performance is only okay, the story is good enough for him to not be a limiting factor. I was engaged the entire time.
I recommend it to all nerds and fans of the 80s.

But Nancy hates her job, is sick of space, and longs to find adventure and a safe place to smoke cigarettes that won’t blow everyone up. But when Nancy gets caught up in an outer-space conspiracy involving President Kennedy, former vice-president Richard Nixon, and an intergalactic object that could change the course of history, she gets way more adventure than she bargained for.

A quirky and fun alt-history adventure
Revisado: 12-22-22
This seemed like something I'd like so I thought I'd give it a try with my membership. I've done one or two other audible originals with mixed results but I have to say this has been my favorite. Right away, I fell into the world that the story created and was hooked by its charm. It's a big "what if" slathered in some over the top 60s pop culture. I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for something fun and different that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Historia
According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch (the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655, before she exploded), the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just before dinner. So the armies of Good and Evil are amassing, Atlantis is rising, frogs are falling, tempers are flaring. Everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan.

A great story sometimes dense with British lingo
Revisado: 12-05-22
The story was fun and caused an audible laugh a time or two. I don't know if I could have read this book myself because I would have failed to pick up on the quick whitted British tangents the story takes. The narration does a great job of navigating those elements. Otherwise it was a good time and I look forward to watching the show next.

In Act III, we follow Morpheus on a grand journey to take care of family business. He visits with his son Orpheus (Regé-Jean Page), an act that brings with it profound consequences. Accompanied by Delirium (Kristen Schaal), he tracks down their estranged brother, Destruction (David Harewood), the only member of the Endless ever to abandon their post. Another Incredible Journey in the Dreaming
Revisado: 10-22-22
I was very excited to hear Act 3 was on its way. It is filled with larger scale stories tying up questions in loose ends from the previous acts. Like the ax before it it's filled with wonder and mystery that feels very satisfying in the end. I think I might like this one better than Act 2. If they could now just get an act 4 together asap, that would be great.

A fun and fast Vader story
Revisado: 10-03-22
this book came recommended to me by several bigger Star Wars fans than I. unlike some of the other books I've listened to recently this one has a pretty short timeline of events. It almost feels like a multi-episode story arc or potentially movie material.
I think it's stories like this that fuel fans need for cool Vader moments on the big screen.
The required knowledge going into this book is quite minimal. with really only the prequel trilogy being referenced. It should allow for many casual Star Wars fans to hop in without any issue.
The narrator could do a better job differentiating some voices. It's my biggest and one of my only critiques. other than that it was a great time and I'm glad I gave it a listen.

In the absolutely packed Act II, the dark fantasy resumes and the Sandman expands into the French Revolution, ancient Rome, 19th-century San Francisco, eighth-century Baghdad, and beyond. New and familiar characters abound, voiced by a bright mix of performers, including Kat Dennings, Regé-Jean Page, Emma Corrin, Michael Sheen, Kristen Schaal, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Jeffrey Wright, and so many more, including fan-favorite narrators Simon Vance and Ray Porter.

I'm hooked and ready for part 3!
Revisado: 09-12-22
I'm new to The Sandman and started with this audio series and I love it. I'll be starting the show here shortly. what I like about part 2 of or part 1 is that more of the chapters go together for more continuous stories.
