It's dull and disconnected
Revisado: 08-03-20
It is written like a dictionary with a list of networking terms and uses and nothing to bind it all together. I think somebody else noted that it could easily be half the length it is. I think that person was spot on.

Historia
Listen as David recounts the experiences of his rise to successful novelist - his wretched boyhood , the drudgery of his various jobs, his marriage to the boss’ pretty daughter, his flight to the continent, and finally, a reunion with his true love. Tull’s marvelously resonant voice ushers us smoothly through young David’s trials. His ability to move deftly between different accents gives new life to some of the best-known characters in all of literature.

Revisado: 05-11-20
It's hard to write about such an amazing writer. I can't believe how much this story has drew me in. The characters are so loveable and despicable and often inspirational. It's hard to imagine that anything could make this story better, nonetheless Patrick Tull has done it (again). He's unbelievably good.

What does everyone in the modern world need to know? Renowned psychologist Jordan B. Peterson's answer to this most difficult of questions uniquely combines the hard-won truths of ancient tradition with the stunning revelations of cutting-edge scientific research. Humorous, surprising, and informative, Dr. Peterson tells us why skateboarding boys and girls must be left alone, what terrible fate awaits those who criticize too easily, and why you should always pet a cat when you meet one on the street.

Has wisdom. And has a LOT of religion.
Revisado: 02-15-20
At times I was drawn in and was inspired. But there are a lot of references to the Bible and its God. I am not a fan of the Christian Bible and don't believe it is anything but man's creation (and not a very good one). So the references tended to weaken and not strengthen his arguments. Too many times I found my patience challenged and skipped ahead. I don't regret listening to it but at the same time would not recommend it.

good premise but long and frustrating journey

the premise is interesting. but you have to endure tons of pointless characters and situations. and his excessive use of descriptive language made me feel like I was reading a mad lib story.

Some good reminders but nothing shocking
Revisado: 10-14-18
I was looking forward to revelations in learning, but found that this book has more to do with with attention and habits. I didn't read much that were not disciplines taught when growing up. But the book is not without any revelations. Focused vs. diffuse mode was enlightening. And that is all that comes to mind.
It could be much shorter. The book beats some simple concepts to death. I started skipping ahead. And there is a good amount of redundancy that made paying attention difficult.
I gave the performance 2 stars because it gets dull and doesn't match the style of writing. The author seems to write in a parlance of teenagers. The narrator sounds well beyond his teenage years.
