Historia
Life at the fortified town of Sanctuary is calm. The people, with their fearless leader at the helm, have created a haven where they can live out their lives in peace and safety. But it hasn’t always been this way. There were battles and losses along the way, and victory usually came at a price. With the younger generation coming into their own, it’s time for Leah to pass on all she has learned over the years. Time to tell the stories of how the world became the way it is...starting with the highwaymen of Andorra.

Different POV

I liked Leah 's point of view. The book was well written but I wish I would have read it instead of listened. The narrator was good, just not for this book. She made Leah telling her stories sound like a mean 80yo., not like a young woman. It threw me off.

Historia
The day is like any other day until it becomes The Day. At 4:05 pm the United States is attacked with an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) weapon. A 20-megaton nuclear warhead is detonated high in the atmosphere above Kansas, blanketing most of the contiguous United States and parts of Canada and Mexico with an electromagnetic pulse that damages nearly all microprocessors and electronic controls beyond repair. Nearly every system that depends on computers and electronics has ceased to work.

Cant make it past the 6th chapter
Revisado: 03-11-20
I think this might be a good book if I read it. The narration is THE WORST!! I tried to look past it and just try to focus on the store but they talk like they are reading a light happy childrens book. Its quite laughable. Dont waste the credit or money on this one until they redo the reading with a solid narrator.

Historia
Meggie Meyer, an anxiety-ridden debut author, can’t bear to face her upcoming book tour, but she can’t give up on her writing career just as it’s about to really begin. She comes up with a plan that’s so crazy, it just might work: She hires an actress to impersonate her for the two-week stint. Sloan Buchanan, the spunky aspiring actress, jumps at the opportunity to use her intensive acting method to sink into this unusual role, and the line between her and her character quickly begins to blur. And Rachel Drake, the no-nonsense detective, is left to put the pieces together.

This was a great listen and a mystery until the very end. Well done. The narrations were great also.

Rushed but good
Revisado: 06-25-18
I felt this book was rushed to wrap up loose ends just to leave room for another book. I can't wait for it though! I enjoyed this series. The characters were very likable and well developed throughout the series. I would have loved to have more detail on some of the character relationships. There was a lot of time spent on some of the relationships, but at times and left you wanting more but then one book ends and there are a time jump and you are left with a lot of questions. The way she wrote these books made you think about their situations and how they fit into this world.

Good narration
Revisado: 05-02-16
The story was okay. I think the main character could have shown more emotion or could have been developed more. Some other parts of the story were there should have been anger, sadness, confusion it was just missing. It wasn't the narrator that was lacking in translation it just wasn't there in the words. I have read other books by Hankins this one wasn't one of the best. On to the next.
