Historia
Rebekkah Barrow never forgot the attention her grandmother Maylene bestowed upon the dead of Claysville, the small town where Bek spent her adolescence. There wasn't a funeral that Maylene didn't attend, and at each one Rebekkah watched as Maylene performed the same unusual ritual: She took three sips from a silver flask and spoke the words "Sleep well, and stay where I put you." Now Maylene is dead, and Bek must go back to the place she left a decade earlier. She soon discovers that Claysville is not just the sleepy town she remembers....

Most original book theme!
Revisado: 12-03-11
What made the experience of listening to Graveminder the most enjoyable?
While listening to this book, I often wondered how Melissa Marr came up with the premise of this novel. Of course, the narrator was so awful that there was many moments of speculation...The entire concept of a Graveminder who minds the dead and lives in two worlds was so original. The hesitation of the main character to admit her feelings toward the male protagonist was frustrating but otherwise this was one of the most unique books I've read in a while. Try it but maybe in print or with a different narrator.
What did you like best about this story?
The idea of the world of the dead versus the town of the living.
How could the performance have been better?
Change the narrator. She was terrible. All the characters sounded like they were 17 years old.

Historia
MacKayla Lane was just a child when she and her sister, Alina, were given up for adoption and banished from Ireland forever. Twenty years later, Alina is dead and Mac has returned to the country that expelled them to hunt her sister’s murderer. But after discovering that she descends from a bloodline both gifted and cursed, Mac is plunged into a secret history: an ancient conflict between humans and immortals who have lived concealed among us for thousands of years.

One of the BEST series in this genre
Revisado: 06-13-11
I discovered this series and read/listened to the first four books as quickly as I could. It was a pleasant surprise to finish them right after book # 5 came out. This series is one of my favorites! Book # 4 left the reader hanging about the fate of Mac and Barons and the outcome was one of the first of many surprising twists and turns of this book. There was a little too much internal dialogue from Mac but other than that the narrators made this book come alive. It is funny, suspenseful and thoroughly entertaining. Read this series in order or it won't make sense. I was sorry that this series ended. Moning is an excellent writer--much better in this series than the Highlander one. I would give it six stars if possible.

Historia
Atlanta would be a nice place to live, if it weren't for the magic. When the magic is up, rogue mages cast their spells and monsters appear, while guns refuse to fire and cars fail to start. But then technology returns, and the magic recedes as unpredictably as it arose. Kate Daniels works for the Order of Knights of Merciful Aid, officially as a liaison with the mercenary guild. Unofficially, she cleans up the paranormal problems no one else wants to handle - especially if they involve Atlanta's shapeshifting community.

This series is Magic!
Revisado: 06-09-11
Have fallen in love with the characters of this series! It is action packed, humorous and watching Curran and Kate's relationship develop is fascinating; especially in this book. Kate is funny and brave even in the most dire situations. The path to Kate's eventual encounter with her father has developed slowly; can't wait to see how it continues. You have to read this series if you like paranormal romance! I've listened to all the books in this series several times and enjoyed them just as much the second time around. The journey into this magical Atlanta is very worthwhile!

Different approach to the world of Fairie
Revisado: 06-08-11
This is the third book in the series and I enjoyed it greatly. The world of the Gentry is a different one than portrayed in other supernatural books. The characters are enjoyable and I was frequently surprised at how the novel progressed. The sex scenes are vivid and Eugiene's going back and forth between lovers is a little frustrating. Otherwise a fun series and can't wait until the next book comes out.

Love the world created by this author
Revisado: 04-21-11
This is the first book in a series that rapidly became one of my favorites. I love the magic vs. technology world created by these authors. The verbal exchanges between Kate and Curran are entertaining. There is considerable blood and gore but the humor in the book makes it worthwhile. I had to read this entire series after starting with this first one. They are all really great!

Light and enjoyable
Revisado: 04-21-11
This is the third book by this author that I have read. This one was different since it took place in Alaska. I thought the weather should have played a greater part in the novel. I enjoyed this one but it have noticed that Molly Harper's male characters are rather wimpy despite being supernatural creatures. It's a light read although I figured out easily who the bad guy was in the book.
