I really enjoyed this book! I found myself laughing out loud while listening to the audiobook (lucky I was home instead of in public). These 2 were just adorable and oh-so-hot together. Highly recommend!

Not that I expected the book to be bad, but I didn't realize I'd like it as much as I did as quickly as I did. The story was good; the narration was good. I stayed up until 3:00 AM finishing it because I didn want to stop listening until the end.

It was a cute story, and I loved the whole epilepsy aspect because I'm an epileptic and I could totally relate to his character on that level. I don't think there's enough epilepsy awareness out there, and I rarely see it used in books. I really appreciate the author being so authentic with it.

Tanner and Roo were so sweet together it was almost toothache-inducing, but I loved it. It was a nice change to have neither character try to be macho or overbearing in the relationship, and the way they'd always been touchy-feely made my heart squishy.

My only complaint is that I didn't like one of the narrators (I won't say which one because that's just mean.), and his portrayal of the character brought down my feelings a bit. Maybe that's how the author wanted his pov to feel, but it kinda turned me off. I liked the times I read without narration better than listening to the book. However, it was still a good story, and I enjoyed the book overall.

Sweet, cute, heartfelt, and steamy. I even had some laugh-out-loud moments. I loved Gavin and Hudson. Also, Jordan was adorable and made the story even better. Hockey+MM+single dad=10/10 would recommend. And the narration was fantastic!

The story was okay, but it was just meh. There was nothing spectacular about any of the characters. Honestly, I might have dnf'd if I hadn't been listening to the audiobook while reading. I could listen to Troy Duran read the ACT and still be intrigued. The female narrator did a pretty good job, but I would have liked a little more emotion reflected in her parts instead of just rote reading. If you're looking for a quick MC read without a ton of angst, then you might like this one. If prefer the grittier MC books, this book may not be your cup of tea.

Also, maybe I missed something, but I could swear they had smexy times and then spent the night in the house from which an unalived body had recently been cleared. Make that make sense...

I've battled epilepsy my whole life, and the guilt of feeling like a burden to my loved ones is REAL. It was both saddening and refreshing to read about a FMC who faces the same obstacles as me. It truly was a great story.

Troy Duran did a FANTASTIC job with the narration, as always. He's become my favorite male narrator. I wasn't as much a fan of the female narrator because of how bland she sounded. It may have been in an effort to emphasize the effects Kate's meds were having on her, but it never seemed to change either. It was an enjoyable listen nonetheless.

I feel like I don't see this book get as much love as some of the others in the series. It saddens me because Eyes on Me is one of my top favorites in the SPC series. Step-siblings + age gap + kink club + V-card + exhibitionism/voyeurism + a dash of breeding kink = YOU MUST READ THIS NOW!!!

Well... it does in my math, anyway.

I think Garrett and Mia really were one another's missing piece. They filled a void in each other that made them more complete. I know this is said in many, many books and is a very common goal, but I really FELT it with these 2 characters.

And, speaking of feeling things...
This book brought it with the 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
The voyeur hall, the performances, and the toys... OH MY 🥵🥵🥵

I seriously love this book so hard! The only reason for the 4 stars overall is because I didn't like the female narrator's version of a male voice. **Please don't take this as me being mean because I'm not.** Her male impersonation sounded a bit like Alvin from The Chipmunks 🙈 It's not that it was a bad impersonation; it just didn't fit the character for me. Otherwise, the narration was on-point.

Such a beautiful story! It gets me no matter how many times I read it, and now that I can listen also... I know this will be an audiobook I'll be listening to again at some point.

Max and Cassidy's love story is beautiful beyond words. This second installment of their duet proves that. No matter all that they went through and how many times my heart broke for them, they still came out the other side strong and unrelenting in their love for one another. I didn't know I could fall in love with Max Butcher any more than I already was until Cosa Nostra.

There's always a fear that narrators won't do your beloved characters justice, but I didn't feel that with this one. I adored every minute of listening to Max and Cassidy's story. I could feel the love, the rage, and the intensity of these characters and their story through these narrators.

I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who lives for dark, stormy, intense mafia romance with all the heat and love you can pour into it!

When I decided to work on tackling some of my backlist this year, I knew this book needed to be on my reading list. Mafia romance is probably my favorite genre right now, and I've always heard great things about Asher Black. So, I listened to the book as I read it since I have it in both ebook and audiobook. While I did enjoy it, it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. For one, it wasn't really mafia. It was more billionaire romance with some suspense and a little gunfire. I wanted it to be spicier and less predictable. I also felt the conflicts were smoothed over too easily. Most of the book seemed to be Lucy's inner monologue. Some of it was funny, but sometimes, it was too much. I found myself wishing someone would speak already so I could have some dialogue to break up her internal rambling. I also didn't feel like the narrator's voice matched that of a 20 year old.

All that being said, Asher was super swoony, and I loved his character. I longed for some chapters from his pov.

This was a good read, and I'm glad I finally got around to it.

Why did I wait so long to read this book? I've read her others. It's not like I didn't know I'd love. And, man, did I.

Cleo and Zach were all the things. All the love, all the hate, all the feels. I read this book when I could sit down and listened when I couldn't because I just couldn't put it down. Falling in love with your bully never felt so beautiful.

The narration was perfection. Especially from Sarah Puckett. She embodies Ms. Kent's heroines in a way I don't think any other narrator could. This book was fabulous, and I already know I'll be listening to it again in the future.
