Historia
No outsiders are ever admitted to the monastery of Saint-Gilbert-Entre-les-Loups, hidden deep in the wilderness of Quebec, where two dozen cloistered monks live in peace and prayer. They grow vegetables, they tend chickens, they make chocolate. And they sing. Ironically, for a community that has taken a vow of silence, the monks have become world-famous for their glorious voices, raised in ancient chants whose effect on both singer and listener is so profound it is known as “the beautiful mystery.”

Political Speech Writing
Revisado: 09-06-24
Ken Khachigian has provided an insightful and historical book about the inner workings of two well known Presidents over a fifteen year period, California and Washington DC. Fascinating to learn that any political campaign and ultimate office holder requires many support personnel, including speech writers to fine tune addresses by public leaders. Dean Gallagher is an excellent narrator!

Historia
Typhoon is the story of a steamship and her crew beset by a tempest and of the captain whose dogged courage is tested to the limit. Captain MacWhirr was an ordinary man. However, when his steamer Nan-Shan blunders into a hurricane, he and his crew must pull together to survive. The steadfast courage of an undemonstrative captain and the imaginative readiness of his young first mate becomes a partnership vital to human survival as they are challenged from without by the elements, and from within by human doubts and fears.

Remarkable historical review of everyday people fighting to defeat Communism!
Revisado: 12-13-23
Amazing historical research and facts documenting life in Communist East Germany following the defeat of Nazi fascism Germany in WW2. So many variables occurred after WW1 which contributed to the rise of a national dictatorship, at the same time strengthening the Soviet Union. I’m amazed at the generations across the world who fought to defeat tyranny!
