Historia
Killashandra, one of the most gifted singers on Ballybran, is drawn like a magnet to the song of crystal. In order to work with crystal, singers are infected with a symbiotic life form that heals them and gives them near eternal life—but slowly destroys their memories. Since crystal singing brings Killashandra ecstasy, she doesn't mind the initial small annoyances of memory loss. What she hadn't counted on was the loneliness she felt when her heart still remembered what her mind had forgotten—the names of her friends and lovers.

Historia
Killashandra Ree was drawn like a magnet to the song of crystal, and now it's erasing her memory. She knew the forgetfulness would be a byproduct of the singing, and she doesn't mind the little annoyances, like being unable to remember her address or the names of her colleagues. But she hadn't counted on the loneliness a person can feel when the heart still remembers what the mind has forgotten. Can the crystal that destroyed her memory somehow restore it?

A true classic

Wonderful story and performance. I only wish the narrator was a bit better at the voice of Aslan. Michael York struggles making the deep voice sound impressive enough.

Historia
She soars above a world of warriors, kings, and priests. The daughter of Belgarath and the shape-shifter Poledra, she has fought wars, plotted palace coups, and worked her powerful magic for 3,000 years. Now, Polgara looks back at her magnificent life, in this fitting crown jewel to the saga that is the Eddingses' Belgariad and Mallorean cycles. Her hair streaked white by her father's first touch, her mind guided by a mother she will not see again for centuries, Polgara begins life in her Uncle Beldin's tower, and in the prehistorical, magical Tree that stands in the middle of the Vale.

Spectacular Story, So-So Narration
Revisado: 02-02-19
The followup to Belgarath the Sorceror, this story is amazing. I love the characters and the rich worlds built. Really a great read, and one you never get tired of!
The narrator has a very odd way of pronouncing things that is really distracting, despite a very nice voice overall. She reads well, but butchers place and character names. I read these on my own and had certain pronunciations in my head, and every other audio book I've heard has pronounced them the same as I did. I've gotta say it takes a little of the shine off.

An All-Time Fave!
Revisado: 02-02-19
This is one of my all-time favorites. The rick world-building and well done characters never get old. The narrator here emphasized some words in a sentence in an odd way here and there, but overall it was very well done. Recommended!

Historia
When the world was young and Gods still walked among their mortal children, a headstrong orphan boy set out to explore the world. Thus began the extraordinary adventures that would mold that youthful vagabond into a man and the man into the finely honed instrument of Prophecy known to all the world as Belgarath the Sorcerer. Then came the dark day when the Dark God Torak split the world asunder, and the God Aldur and his disciples began their monumental labor to set Destiny aright.

Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Excellent All Around
Revisado: 08-26-18
Dune is a sci-fi classic. There's no doubt and no reason to explain further. But the dramatic presentation here really brings it to life. I can't begin to describe how well done this is. Kudos to all involved.
