This book has some great points on how to deal with negative self doubt being an artist. There are a few good personal experience stories and actual interviews that were conducted by the author.

However as an audio book it gets repetitive and feels like a PDF handout you’d get at a seminar or university. Some of the suggestions felt rushed, the quotes really did feel like they were directly pulled from pintrest (as quoted). Not sure l would recommend this to other artist or friends.

One of the best audiable books I’ve listened to. It was a wonderful detailed account of Picasso’s rise to fame. I learned so much and my only complaint is that I wish there was more! The research and ties to other people and artists was fascinating, I feel like I have a new understanding of Picasso. Highly recommend!

This book inspired me to feel. As a women listening to this audio book Lindy West asked me to really think about social media, a gender roles today and body image and mental health. After listening to this book I feel inspired to explore my own life experiences and feeling on them.
