Historia
When seven-year-old Lucy Ross is snatched from the carousel in Denton city park, Detective Josie Quinn joins the frantic search. She’s the one who finds Lucy’s sparkly butterfly backpack abandoned by the ticket booth, a note with a devastating message stuffed inside: Answer your phone, or your sweet little darling will die.... The next day, Lucy’s parents are filled with hope when they pick up a call which they think is from their babysitter - but instead it’s a chilling male voice on the line.

Not as suspenseful
Revisado: 09-17-19
I’ve most all of Lisa Regan’s books and this one was harder to finish. Not as many suspenseful side stories or strong characters that left me wanting to know more. But I’ll still keep reading her books.

In this intimate, haunting, literary memoir read by the author, an American icon tells her story for the first time, in her own gorgeous words - about a challenging and lonely childhood, the craft that helped her find her voice, and a powerful emotional legacy that shaped her journey as a daughter and a mother.

Raw & Revealing
Revisado: 10-21-18
I’ve always admired Sally Field as an actress. Her memoir allowed me to admire her as a human. Her raw story of her life was incredible. Revealing truths of heartbreaking moments at a “me too” time that is relatable to so many. I felt this book was healing to her and her readers.

Historia
In working with thousands of women who wanted to lose weight and change the shape of their bodies, leading nutritionist Dana James observed a striking trend: no matter how diligent they were in sticking to their diet and exercise plans, old behavioral patterns and self-doubt sabotaged their efforts. In The Archetype Diet, James helps listeners escape the seemingly endless psychological tug-of-war that is hampering their ability to care for themselves and explains which hormones cause you to store body fat on your belly, thighs and hips, and what to eat to change it.

Bought the book too!
Revisado: 09-30-18
Didn't think I'd like it at first. So many self help books end up monotone and hard to listen through. I made it to chapter two and knew it was meant to be. This really fit my need, transforming my attitude towards dieting. After listening and recommending it to many friends, I bought the book.

Historia
Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed. Soon afterward, his death is a national headline. Some are calling him a thug, maybe even a drug dealer and a gangbanger. Protesters are taking to the streets in Khalil’s name.

Would listen again!
Revisado: 08-09-17
I've had a difficult time finding an intriguing book where I don't lose interest because of the narrator. Changing character in voice and dialect is difficult but this story allowed me to be in the moment with each scene and visualize the characters as if they were real. Loved it, though I want to personally bring back old Georgia Tan and see she is persecuted by those lives she robbed. I'd read it again.
