Gertrude is a funny lady, without meaning to be.

I literally laughed out loud at some places. She's a little bit delusional, and seems to be missing her survival instinct, but she has many friends who have her back. Pretty wholesome stories, highly recommended.

Beautiful love story

I read this book before listening to the audiobook. And I loved the story even more with the audiobook.

It seemed like Kasey and Drea had too many obstacles, but they make it work. Kasey seemed like too stubborn to see Drea's viewpoint (or anyone else's), but at the end things work out, with a stronger relationship.

Interesting Sci-Fi take on Aladdin

A gender-swapped, science fiction take on the Aladdin story.

A very good novella. I completely forgot it's a retelling of Aladdin, because although there are many similarities, there are many new concepts and twists.

I wish there was an epilogue that happens a few years later that describes how the dragons and Janet are doing. But oh, well. A good story as it is.

Satisfactory ending to the series

I have to confess that the religious tones were a turn off at the beginning, but at the end everything worked beautifully.

I'm still liking the story, but I don't know how to feel about the twist. I'll let you know after I read the next (and last) book.

I saw several reviewers complaining about the change in narrators. Although I admit it took me a while to get used to the new narrator, I don't feel like it was a bad narration.

Nothing stops Cassie from protecting her family

Cassie is as strong as in the first book, but now she has to be smarter to be able to reunite with her family. As if zombies were not trouble enough, she now has to deal with a crazy fellow survivor. I enjoyed this book better than the first.

Yet another zombie book. I actually liked this one

So we have this strong and mostly smart teenager, who loves her family, and who sometimes makes bad decisions but always with good intentions. I kept asking myself "why would she do that?" and had to keep answering myself "oh, she's a teenager".

I like that she's strong and takes charge, and doesn't let other people walk all over her.

Some interesting situation, coupled with some not-so-good choices, that add up to a good story.

Very diverse set of short stories

I loved some of the stories. Some of the stories seemed too short (I wanted to know more), and some stories have some disturbing content. But I'm so glad I listened to it.
